Superstars Reax - 2/6/16, more ECW content on the Network, released name on NXT tenure, new WWE trademark, Styles submission note, NXT Champion injured, top NXT act works main roster, WWE name back from injury, and Questions on Cornette vs. LU and wrestling books

Superstars:
- Henry/Swagger vs. Ascension:
I still like watching Mark Henry. The roster needs some strong guys.

I hope The Ascension gets a reboot at some point; they're better than the role they were put in upon coming to the main roster.

Good little match.

- Ryder vs. Stardust:
Well, this is a bizarre start to things.

These guys are solid undercard performers. I hope we see at least another midcard title reign for Stardust/Cody at some point.

This is a pretty good match so far.

Nice work overall.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

More episodes of ECW Hardcore TV from 1998 are being added to the WWE Network. I'm under the impression ECW TV footage is something of a priority right now. There are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of hours of footage they still need to digitize before it can be put on the Network. It's a very time-consuming process.

The former Sylvester LeFort commented on his NXT release. I hope he does good things outside of WWE.

WWE has applied to trademark "The Revival." That sounds like a team/faction name, but I don't know whom it would apply to.

AJ Styles' Calf Killer submission could be renamed "Calf Slicer" by WWE. Given their family-friendly focus, that would hardly be surprising.

Finn Balor injured his ankle at an NXT live event this weekend. He was held off the last show on the loop, and will be evaluated more formally Monday. It would be really unfortunate for him to miss much time. 2016 could really be his year with the potential for a Balor Club with his former NJPW coworkers.

Update: Balor is believed to have suffered a slightly sprained ankle; he was on crutches at Saturday's NXT show and didn't appear before the crowd. I hope he's back to form in time for Takeover in Dallas.

Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella were part of the main roster's live events this weekend. They're also set for this week's Raw and Smackdown tapings, so they could be working dark matches and/or getting ready for coming to the main roster. They're a lot of fun on the mic, and really over in NXT. Plus, they've pretty much gotten as far as they can go down there. They could use a little more work in the ring, but I definitely think they should be on the short list to be called up. Carmella is good as a manager, but needs a LOT of work as a wrestler. That's really my only caution to moving them to a bigger stage.

Sin Cara returned to the ring at this weekend's WWE live events. I'm glad. Hopefully the Lucha Dragons are doing something cool in the tag title picture at WM32. I don't want to see WWE split them and have them feud for the U.S. Title.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm not really surprised given his preferences for wrestling vs. how LU is presented. Yelling about how wrestling isn't how he likes it is pretty much his thing, so it was probably only a matter of time before he turned his venom toward LU. LU will keep being LU, and Cornette's opinions will keep being his opinions. I imagine some of today's wrestling personalities will hate what wrestling is in 30 years, as well. That's a recurring theme.

2, 3, and 4 are strictly fact-based, so there's really nothing else to say.

5. Foley's first book is definitely highly recommended, and an easy, fun read to bout. Chris Jericho's books are highly praised, too.

More wrestling tomorrow.
