Interview with Striker, Bryan content on Network, former NFL player at WWEPC, Cena appearing for NASCAR, War of the Worlds update, Knockout assaulted?, more Network content coming, WWE going back to UAE, Steph hacked, TNA Champ vs. Twitter, guest at WWE live event, Smackdown audience, WWE nominated for awards, and Questions on Owens vs. Cole, recent WWE turns, Rumble surprises, AJ vs. Jericho, superfans, and TNA trying to sign Styles

Matt Striker talked about Lucha Underground and more. Here are some highlights:
- LU is definitely sports entertainment. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

- I saw some "highlights" of Yoshi's commentary. It was amazing in the way Season 3 of NXT was. Or Heel Don West. It is worth noting he's not well-versed in English, and that was going to make things more difficult.

- There are a lot of spelling mistakes in this recap...

- There's definitely the "hipster" crowd that swarms to LU and other less-mainstream products. These are the people who "hijack" shows with unrelated chants. It's awful.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The WWE Network has added a collection of Daniel Bryan's greatest moments. More collections will be added each month. This is the next step for the Network's content expansions. As they get more old content digitized, they can devote more resources to new content and other additions.

- The collection includes Bryan's WWF tryout match, his 2003 match with John Cena, and a number of other pivotal moments.

Former NFL player Brennan Williams has had his first match after training with Booker T. He's a part of the ongoing WWEPC tryouts. He's got some good size on him. They might should wait for him to get some more experience, but I think he should definitely be on WWE's radar.

John Cena will be the honorary pace driver for this year's Daytona 500. That's a pretty big deal.

Tickets for the ROH/NJPW War of the Worlds tour are now on sale after issues earlier in the week. The events will take place this May.

TNA's new Knockout Raquel told TMZ she was assaulted during an indie match as possible retaliation for her signing on with the company. That's really rough. I hope things work out differently for her going forward.

More Stone Cold podcasts and WWE 24 documentary specials are headed to the Network in the future. Both are quite popular.

WWE will be returning to Dubai on April 14 and 15. Sami Zayn is advertised for the event, but no Divas are. I wouldn't read anything into Zayn being there, since he generally appears for tours in that area. I do think we'll see him on the main roster in a few months, though.

Stephanie McMahon's Instagram was hacked. Speaking of which, Kurt Angle hasn't been "hacked" in a while. I kind of miss when that was a thing.

Matt Hardy read some mean tweets directed at him. He gets TONS of hate online, and he plays off it well. It's scary how illiterate and easily worked people still are in 2016.

German musician Eko Fresh joined Cesaro in the ring to announce the main event at a WWE live event in Germany. They missed an opportunity in not having him collaborate with Bo Rida.

Smackdown's audience Thursday was 2.41 million, down notably from the previous week. They were the highest-rated program on cable that night, however. I think a lot of the problem is people moving away from watching shows on TV as they air. With online streams, DVRs, etc., the audience isn't as tied to TV as they were 10 years ago.

WWE has been nominated for a number of CableFax Digital Awards, notably for their social media, apps, and marketing. PopTV has also been nominated for a number of awards. That's pretty awesome! WWE takes a lot of pride in its digital endeavors, and they're an important driver of their bottom line.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I love the interaction between Owens and Cole. Owens is a great heel, and has been a really solid signing by WWE.

2. One by one:
a. I think Paige might just be face because of "Total Divas." She came back from concussion, and that probably sets up a story of bravery and heroics for that show.

b. BEEG is face so he can put over the monsters in the Wyatts.

c. Brie's face because it's hard to boo someone whose husband is retiring because of terrible injuries.

d. Sasha's kind of a tweener leading face, because she's going after the heel Charlotte's title. Tamina's still heel, working with Naomi.

e. Y2J is heel to work with AJ and (presumably) Ambrose in the months to come. I think this was the plan dating back to when he teamed with Ambrose and Reigns against the Wyatts. AJ coming in just changed the timing of it.

f. New Day are still heels. The crowd just really loves them.

I'm fine with b through f from storyline perspectives, and don't really care about a since it's related to TD. As long as it "makes sense" when someone turns and they have a plan for it, I'm usually OK with it. Paige and Big Show have definitely had a LOT of turns, though.

3. While I do love Rumble surprises, I think they probably did the right thing for the scenario. Sami Zayn was a good additional surprise.

4. Ding ding ding. We'll probably see it on Fastlane, too. AJ working with Jericho puts him in an important storyline right away, and gives him credibility by holding his own against such a decorated competitor.

5. Who doesn't mark for Brock? I wish I could go to that many shows.

6. I think Behrens wanted some additional things ironed out before his client signed on. The impression I got is if TNA had made the requested changes to the offered deal before WWE made a better, concrete offer, we'd be seeing Styles, Anderson, and Gallows in TNA. WWE had the staff and desire to work through the holiday season in order to bring AJ aboard. I imagine they offered more money, too.

More wrestling tomorrow.
