WWE+NXT live event notes, NXT name works main roster, LoN injury updates, Bret Hart on rap song, Rock on Raw appearance, more LU on the way, Angle and X-Division star dodge injury, TNA signing official, former WWE/TNA exec works TNA UK tour, Nakamura-WWE update, Stephanie on GMA, TNA name injured, and Questions on the next MITB winner, booking AJ, refs preventing interference, and Charlotte

Here are results from NXT's live event in Florida this weekend:

- It's interesting to see who got to work this show while others went on tour. Some of them don't usually get the opportunity to work live events.

- I didn't follow FCW very closely, but it seems like NXT has a LOT more female competitors. Thankfully, fewer were hired for their looks than in the FCW days.

- I wonder when some of these names will show up on the weekly show. Obviously there are only so many spaces on a 60-minute broadcast (and some of that goes to ads, even on the Network).

Some notes from this weekend's main roster WWE live events:
- Fandango worked as a heel, losing to Darren Young before demanding another match. He then lost to Jack Swagger.

- The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and NXT's Mojo Rawley) beat Los Matadores. Interesting there were two NXT live event tours going on, but Mojo worked the main roster. It's a fairly safe bet the Hype Bros will be the next "NXT team" called up considering the number of main roster shows they've teamed on. WWE could have just had Goldust or someone team with El Torito to beat Diego and Fernando, so I don't think it's just a case of there being so many injuries.

- The team of Damien Sandow and R-Truth beat Heath Slater and Curtis Axel. Whether that was just a random pairing or a potential tandem for TV remains to be seen. It certainly looked like WWE was pairing Goldust with Truth last week on TV.

- Neither Sheamus nor Del Rio worked live events, so they're being kept out of the ring for the time being. The number of injuries right now is unreal.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

NXT's live event in Detroit was sold out. That's almost not news anymore given how frequently it happens for NXT.

Bret Hart is doing a song with Cam'ron called "Sharpshooter Rap" to promote Bret's son's capital investment firm in Canada. Just when I thought the wrestling business couldn't surprise me anymore. They'll never beat JR's rap, though.

The Rock commented about going off-script at Raw. His segment was definitely a hit in the ratings.

Lucha Underground has been confirmed for a third season, which will likely begin production soon. Seasons 2 and 3 will likely have 26 episodes each. So, the show will live on for the time being.

Kurt Angle was believed to have suffered a concussion early in the UK tour, but he was cleared and able to complete his TNA contract with his final matches against Roode and Lashley. I bet we're in for some really great matches in Angle's last appearances airing these next number of weeks.

Reby Sky has officially signed with TNA, so presumably she'll be a regular character for the foreseeable future. No word on if/when she'll get in the ring for the promotion.

Mandrews was pretty banged up after a tag match in TNA, but is now believed to be OK. Mandrews was wrestling for his home crowd in the UK.

Former WWE touring executive Rafael Morfi worked on that end for TNA for the UK tour. He was a regular TNA employee years back; it's unknown if he'll be back in the fold regularly going forward.

Shinsuke Nakamura is headed to the WWE Performance Center this week to train and take care of logistical issues ahead of signing to WWE officially. He still has to pass medical testing.

Stephanie McMahon taped a segment for "Good Morning America" about bullying. It got bumped from last week due to coverage of Iowa caucuses.

Davey Richards suffered a knee injury during the last night of TNA's UK tour. He later underwent an MRI. Hopefully he'll be 100% when tapings pick back up next month.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I wouldn't complain about any of those names winning. They could all be viable WWE Champions in 2016 or 2017. If Seth Rollins is cleared by then, he'd be a good choice as well.

2. Not at all. He debuted in a WWE Championship match, then beat a former Wrestlemania headliner/multiple-time world champion clean in roughly a 24-hour period. WWE let him keep his ring name and put over his accomplishments. For someone who made his name outside WWE and doesn't fit the WWE mold, that's really big.

3. There are some interesting possibilities: Kevin Owens, Ambrose and Y2J in a triple threat for the IC Title, Del Rio if he's 100%, whoever the U.S. champion is, Rusev... I think he'll be U.S./IC Title level for now because they've more or less already set some of the top matches. I really doubt he'd face Taker or someone like Samoa Joe. I don't know if they're THAT solidly behind AJ. Or maybe he ends up teaming with Anderson and Gallows at the show and that totally changes everything? We'll see in a few months.

4. Sending someone to the back is at the referee's discretion, just like how quickly/slowly to count people out. Sometimes they're more lenient regarding those kinds of things. Refereeing is an art, not a science.

5. According to WWE Creative, it says "My father is WWE Hall of Famer Nature Boy Ric Flair."

More wrestling tomorrow.
