TNA Lockdown preview

Read on for my suggestions for booking tonight's special edition of Impact Wrestling.
Obviously this show has already been booked and taped. This is more of a "what if" scenario. Plus, it's one of TNA's most important shows "in-universe," and should be treated as such.

- Odarg vs. Drake:
This match is more important to this card than you might think. It makes sense for this match, being more light-hearted, to go between two big grudge matches in order to give the fans a breather before the big finale, especially if there are a lot of big spots planned for the main event. If the match before Hardy-EC3 has a lot of finisher kickouts and such, the crowd could be burned out.

Anyway, as much as I like Drake, this should be something of a feel-good moment for the UK crowd. Shera and Godderz are at ringside. Drake gets frustrated by Odarg's antics, Shera's taunting (getting the crowd to cheer for Odarg), and Godderz laughing at him for not putting Odarg away. Drake gets an advantage and chews out Godderz for doubting him, leading to a surprise win by Odarg.

- Trevor vs. Tigre:
I think I'd have this match go first. There's a really good story to be told here. Uno can't fly around as much in a cage, and there's not as much room for him to get a breather from Trevor. I say Uno goes for a moonsault or something, but gets caught for a powerbomb from Trevor to retain the title. Uno can get some hope spots and all, but Trevor needs to look like a beast. They've got an asset on their hands with him, and they need to keep him as a believable threat at the top of the division. He can start torturing Mandrews next.

- Dollhouse vs. Gail/Velvet/Rayne:
Gail needs a credible challenger for her title. Badly. I'll jump right to the ending: Maria grabs Gail's foot through the hole in the cage for the camera, and Gail falls victim to Jade for the pin. This sets up Jade and Maria as challengers. The BP/Dollhouse feud should probably wrap up sooner rather than later so there are enough singles competitors to sustain the division. Hopefully Maria, Raquel, and Rosemary are good additions. I'd also be looking at picking up another Knockout or two in the coming months. Reby as a wrestler could help in that department, but they need another face Knockout as well. Maybe Chelsea Green and/or Deonna Purrazzo, since they worked the ONO show in Bethlehem?

- Bram/EY vs. Beer Money:
I don't think there's much reason to get fancy with the booking here. BM gets the win on Bram. They're eventually heading on to a match with The Wolves. EY moves on to feud with Jeff Hardy once they head back to the States.

- M. Hardy vs. EC3:
I love EC3, but they'd be crazy to take the title from Matt this early. After a war, Matt starts climbing the cage. EC3 follows him. Tyrus gets brass knuckles or something from Reby's baby bag, and climbs up from the outside. He looks to help pull Matt over, and hits EC3 with the knuckles when EC3 gets close to getting over. Matt then hits the Twist of Fate from the top rope to seal the deal and keep the title. Matt vs. Jeff for the title is my pick to headline Slammiversary.

More wrestling coming up.
