Another Impact co-branded PPV set, WOS trailer, Goldberg at MLB game, classic game return gets trailer, Shaq once again teases facing Show, SDL live event note, and Questions on Coach's WWE credibility, the ref's role, pioneers of wrestling's current style, booking titles in other promotions' shows, and WWE changing Braun vs. Owens for Shania

Impact Wrestling is doing a One Night Only show with New York's XCITE Wrestling on August 25. Impact's saving a lot of money running ONO events with outlets that are already running shows.

ITV put out a trailer for WOS Wrestling. That project will be important for the future of UK wrestling.

Goldberg tossed out a pitch for the San Diego Padres.

Fire Pro Wrestling World got a trailer. That's a pretty cool alternative to WWE's games.

Shaquille O'Neal teased finally facing Big Show at WrestleMania 35. I'll believe it when I see it. As for Show being retired or not, I'm under the impression he's training to get back in the ring and is signed to a deal to occasionally wrestle for the next several years.

Hideo Itami lost to Sin Cara on WWE's July 1 event in Taiwan. That's a surprising move after Itami beat Miz in Japan.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely think his legitimacy with ESPN and remaining on strong terms with WWE helped him get back in the commentary desk.

2. Someone who can help regulate the flow of the match as required and otherwise let the wrestlers shine as they've been booked to do. Timing is important as well.

3. ECW certainly stood out with its use of talents from other areas who could work more quickly, in contrast to the popular "live action cartoon" style at the time. I also think there's something to athletes in general being better suited for that kind of action, since now they can't get by on big, artificial physiques, etc.

4. ABSOLUTELY. If someone's working a show as another promotion's champion, that promotion makes the call on whether or not the title will change hands. That's why they generally don't do title defenses outside of official "co-branded" shows.

5. As much as I'd love to see Shania do a run-in, I don't think WWE's going to do anything further to promote the connection.

More wrestling tomorrow.
