Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.
- McMahon announcement:
This definitely feels big. Some of these people would be working on Smackdown Live's live event instead of here.
It's always weird seeing Triple H and Stephanie randomly being babyfaces.
Yep, this is going to be shown on WWE press clips for years to come.
WHOA. Fifty women???? That's a really big goal.
Wowww. They're going all out. I like it.
- Elias/Deleters:
I enjoy Elias, but it doesn't really feel like he's doing much other than his concerts.
- B-Team vs. Deleters:
I really wonder what the future holds for Matt and Bray.
I fully expected Matt and Bray to dominate at Extreme Rules.
It's kind of funny to have people watching the match while they're on TV.
The B-Team are just surviving at this point.
I hope we're not headed right back to Matt vs. Bray. They could do another crazy deletion match at Summerslam if they're going to give them the titles back. But what about the Authors??
- Post-match:
Wow. You'd think people in the business as long as Matt and Bray would be more professional about losing.
- Gable/Balor/Corbin:
Gable has the same chance being on Evolution as he does being on Summerslam.
Ehhhh. Since Stephanie's here, maybe she could send Corbin to NXT UK or something? He's struggling.
- Sasha/Bayley:
OH GOD THEY'RE GOING TO STRETCH THIS FEUD OUT TO OCTOBER.
- Sasha/Bayley squash:
Maybe Alicia and Dana can get a match with these two as well?
- Elias/Braun/Owens/Corbin/Jinder:Elias just can't get things going.
I do like everyone putting the PPV over.
I love Kevin's viewpoint.
I like Owens pointing out he won at ER, and avoiding another match with the Monster.
Ehhhhhhhhhhh. I'm already tired of Corbin.
The Raw heel side is struggling right now.
That ending was funny.
- Natalya vs. Mickie:
Two future WWE Hall of Famers.
It's nice to see Mickie as an actual threat.
WOW. Mickie wins a match!!!
- Reigns promo:
They need to go full on with Roman as the Chosen One, similar to Bo in NXT. Just totally unaware of how much people actually dislike him.
- Elias/Authors/TWW:
I'm kind of liking the running gag with Elias, but they need to not run it into the ground.
Man. I miss the NXT Authors. There had to have been someone on the road they could have used as a mouthpiece.
Ooh. That shot at Titus needing to retire.
HOLY SHIT THEY REALLY JUST MADE THE AUTHORS BACK DOWN FROM TITUS AND APOLLO.
- Angle/Stephanie/Corbin/Owens:
Stephanie, while you're at it with the good ideas, maybe do something about dead weight Corbin?
Haha Kevin's great.
Ooohhh. Interesting idea for the briefcase.
It's kind of funny seeing Angle and Stephanie being so close given the love triangle story back in the day.
- Mojo vs. Breeze:
I'm not going to complain about someone new getting screen time/a push.
OK enough.
- Dolph/Drew:
This continues to be a good pairing.
- Elias/Balor:
They're running this pretty thin...
- Drew vs. Finn:
Oh I'm liking this battle.
I'm glad Drew's getting to show what he can do.
Well. So much for that.
- Post-match:
STRAIGHT UP TAG TEAM MATCH!!!
- Drew/Dolph vs. Finn/Seth:
Good to see the workhorses show what they can do.
Everyone here works together well.
Rollins is on a roll.
Pretty fun!
- Lashley interview:
Ha. I'd definitely be down for a battle of big MMA dudes.
- Ember vs. Liv:
Phewwwww. Ember's really stuck in the quicksand.
Moon's killing her.
That was fine for Ember to rout Liv. Morgan's lucky they need so many women for Rumbles and the like.
- Seth promo:
I'd be fine with it becoming a four-way with Finn and Drew. That would be really good.
- Elias/Angle/Lashley:
Dear God there's such thing as running a gag into the ground.
That was a shame. They killed too much time with Elias on this show.
And we thankfully move on.
- Lashley vs. Reigns:
Good work early.
Lashley vs. Lesnar could really be something.
It's interesting seeing Roman as the lesser powerhouse.
They're working together well.
NICE Superman punch counter.
Oh Lashley's showing off now.
This definitely feels like a big match.
Good fight outside the ring.
Good work!! Roman earned that win.
- Post-match:
Big ups for the Big Dog!!!
Hopefully the Roman/Lesnar angle is quick and painless.
