Impact Wrestling has announced another Twitch special, teaming with North Carolina's AML on July 29. Moose, Eddie Edwards, Eli Drake, Matt Sydal, Allie, Suicide, Caleb Konley, and Fallah Bahh are all booked for the show. It's notable a lot of top names probably have better-paying shows that night, or were booked a while in advance.

Dalton Castle worked Best in the World weekend with a fractured lower back, herniated disc, displaced hip, and broken hand. He should not have been cleared to compete. There's having guts and then there's putting yourself in serious danger.

Best in the World drew 2,500 fans in Nevada. For comparison purposes, Global Force Wrestling drew around 3,000 people to the same venue for their first taping in 2015. GFW's second taping a few months later drew around 2,100 people, so ROH was in the same league as that short-lived promotion. I think if ROH had more NJPW names on the show and it wasn't so close to the G1 special and All In, they could have beaten that 3,000 mark.

The CEO X NJPW wrestling event set the record for number of Twitch viewers for a wrestling event.

Both NJPW/Revolution Pro events sold out, with more than 2,500 tickets sold the first night and 3,000 the next night. Great work.

NJPW is expected to return to Long Beach on September 30, as they want to push live specials on AXS TV to grow their U.S. presence. They're making moves quickly. I hope they don't burn out the market.

Chris Jericho is looking to make his cruise an annual show. That could be a pretty interesting idea. He's in a very unique place in wrestling right now.

Ricky Steamboat is looking to return to doing appearances in August. So, things must be going pretty well for his recovery.

Will Ospreay is now running his own promotion, Frontline. I'm curious how he'll do in the seemingly crowded UK scene.

WWN has a working agreement with Germany's wXw where each side can use the other's students, as well as wrestlers starting out their careers. That could really prove valuable for each side.

Lucha Underground channel El Rey Network was dropped from Sling TV due to a dispute between the two sides. That's unfortunate. As is often the case, a wrestling promotion's success is out of the hands of the people in the arena.

The Young Bucks' Funko Pop figures were the best-selling item at Hot Topic nationwide after their debut. That's really cool given so many other brands have merchandise there.

SoCal Uncensored have been confirmed for All In. It's expected they'll face off with Stephen Amell and a tag team.

WWE pulled Deonna Purrazzo from All In due to her signing on with NXT. That's a real shame, since she'd already agreed to the date. WWE is within their rights to do it, but they usually let people complete dates they've already signed on/been advertised for. She could be wrestling in front of 10,000 fans that night, but instead she's got to start out at the bottom of NXT.

DeAngelo Williams could be in Moose's corner at Slammiversary, pending Williams' schedule. That could be a good way to have Aries lose without it hurting him.

New NXT:UK wrestlers are signed to one-year deals, with opt-out clauses at four months and eight months. WOS Wrestling being picked up past its first ten-episodes will be key to how aggressive WWE is with keeping those names under contract.

Daniel Bryan could shift to a part-time deal if he re-signs with WWE, as he wants to spend more time with his family. It will be interesting to see how WWE would change his booking if he were to get that request.

WWE Network celebrated the 25th anniversary of Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna with a three-hour special, including never-before-seen footage of the Lex Express.

Matt Hardy talked before a live event:
- I question the longevity of the Bray teaming, but if they keep pulling in merch money, obviously I'm in the wrong!

- WWE definitely wanted to use the Broken Hardys given how over they were.

Tyler Breeze has launched a Twitch channel. It's probably a good idea to get behind himself given his lack of TV time lately.

Smackdown Live's July 16 live event had a special two-for-one ticket sale. It's definitely worth re-examining the live event schedule when those new TV deals come in.

Smackdown Live drew 2.01 million viewers Tuesday night, the lowest number since Election Day 2016. For the return of Team Hell No, that's a real disappointment.

WWE will report its Q2 2018 earnings July 26. Vince McMahon will join co-presidents George A. Barrios and Michelle Wilson in discussing the results.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll is official for All In. That should really be something.

Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin has been announced for Extreme Rules. Balor was originally going to be in the multi-man contenders' match, so this is a big step down.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm not going to complain about either of those picks. It'd be a great attraction for a big stadium show. Although I also wouldn't complain about a comedy match where DX faced the B-Team.

2. Firstly, the show ended up selling a good deal more tickets than the March show, so the brand is definitely a big presence. I think it's more of a case of poor local marketing, returning to the market so soon, All In, and the lack of Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho. Hopefully NJPW addresses those issues for future events.

3. Janela is definitely a buzzworthy talent right now, so it could be the right move after all.

4. WWN has the rights to those talents appearing on other broadcasts, so I suppose it's a case of making WWN the only place you can see them on air. Riddle's in an interesting place given his vocal advocacy for a substance that's prohibited under WWE's Wellness Policy, so I think it's more of the first factor.

5. I don't think they're going to do live events on their own anytime soon, but I'm sure it's an eventual goal. Right now they're making the most of working relationships.

6. Some people pretty much get out of the business once their in-ring days are over, or they just do wrestling and not any signings. It's a matter of how much work they want to get from the business, how much demand there is to see them, and so on.

More wrestling tomorrow.
