Interview with Ember, walk NYC with Elias, WWE live event notes, January Takeover confirmed, and Questions on how/if the Extreme Rules crowd changed Vince's mind, NXT's profitability or lack thereof, NXT live, favorite titles, and Dunn's favorites

Ember Moon promoted a Raw live event. I hope she has a big future ahead of her. With so many other talented women already on Raw and Smackdown Live, she's having trouble being featured.

Elias' documentary has a bonus clip.

Raw's July 29 live event in Florida opened with a 10-bell salute for Nikolai Volkoff. Glad to see them respect the legend like that.

- NXT did the same in Arizona for Volkoff and Brian Christopher.

Sarah Logan wasn't at this weekend's Raw live events. Alicia Fox teamed with Liv Morgan in losses to Bayley and Sasha Banks.

Takeover: Phoenix was confirmed for Royal Rumble weekend during NXT's live event in Arizona Sunday night.

Lana seems to have turned face, as she teamed with Becky Lynch in a win over Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville on Smackdown Live's Pennsylvania live event.

- Rusev was also booked as a face on the show, defeating Andrade "Cien" Almas.

R-Truth returned to live events this weekend, defeating Shelton Benjamin in Pennsylvania.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince has wanted Roman to be the guy and beat Brock for a long time now. If anything, he gave in to the beachballers in regards to booking Roman at WM34, GRR, and Extreme Rules. I hope he realizes now those audience members are going to pay to ruin shows no matter what he does, so he might as well book the product he wants to book and tell Triple H to reevaluate his approach in appealing to a crowd that's largely there to get themselves over.

2. Unfortunately he's had to concede to those audience members in a lot of ways because Triple H has spent years recruiting and booking with them in mind.

3. When NXT started touring outside Florida, it was reported talents weren't paid a percentage of the live gate like they would be if they were on Raw and Smackdown Live because of the costs involved in maintaining the brand. WWE has very deliberately not included NXT in their financial releases, instead putting it all under operating costs. If WWE wants to throw even more money at an idea that will likely not increase Network subscriptions one iota, they have that option. I just don't see why they would unless FS1 requests it as part of airing the show.

4. I love some of the really old belts, the NWA World Championship, and Big Gold. Some of the '90s belts are good, too.

5. Dunn likes Hornswoggle at least. I think he generally prefers interesting characters with good facial expressions. If he does a lot of long zooms on a character, he probably likes them.

More wrestling tomorrow.
