Slammiversary hype, assorted WWE press, more MYC confirmations, historic announcement on Raw, new action figures, another ROH name working CMLL, another WOH name set for UK, WWN launches streaming of iPPVs, Impact audience, Brickhouse passes, Impact taping matches, and whether WWE could honor Owen without Martha's consent

Johnny Impact was on JR's latest podcast in something of a preview for Slammiversary.

Tommy Dreamer did a conference call before Slammiversary. He's done a remarkable job staying on the radar for so many years.

Ronda Rousey and Roman Reigns were at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards.

Kalisto and others in WWE reacted to his infamous "good lucha thing" interview. They should have made a T-shirt out of that.

Kavita Devi is returning for this year's Mae Young Classic. WWE did an announcement in India to confirm her involvement. Her match got a large amount of YouTube views last year, so they're capitalizing on that.

- WWE later announced Mercedes Martinez, Mia Yim, Killer Kelly, and Crystal (Filipino star Vernice Gabriel). Mercedes, interestingly, just worked a joint event with Impact. Kelly worked last month's NXT UK events. I REALLY want to see them pick Yim up.

Stephanie McMahon will make a "historic announcement" on Raw, believed to be the reveal of an all-women's PPV coming in a few months. That will absolutely be a huge milestone for the company, and a massive opportunity for WWE's female superstars.

The Miz and Maryse played "guess the WWE superstar." They're doing a lot to promote their new E! show.

Mattel revealed a lot of new WWE action figures, including Ultimate Deletion related accessories.

Matt Taven is joining The Briscoes and Christopher Daniels in CMLL in a few weeks. Good to see that company using their ROH relationship.

Ayesha Raymond is working ROH's August 19 Honor Re-United date. It's good to see variety in WOH.

WWN is now streaming its iPPV events on Club WWN. That's good for them to get people to subscribe and easily watch the shows.

Impact released a few additional tickets for Slammiversary once they finalized the setup for the venue. Basically they planned on the set taking up more room than it did. Hopefully those are bought, too. Impact was smart to run a hot market.

Impact Wrestling drew 275,000 viewers going into Slammiversary. We'll see if the big event leads to any change in ratings for future weeks. I wouldn't expect a massive change.

Brickhouse Brown passed away at 57 following a battle with prostate cancer. Sad to hear of his passing.

Impact released the opening to Slammiversary. This is going to be an important show for them.

Announced for this week's Impact tapings:
- Kongo Kong vs. Stone Rockwell on Monday
- Cult of Lee vs. The Deaners on Tuesday
- Petey Williams vs. Tyson Dux on Tuesday
-- They're using local wrestlers to face the regulars. We'll see if any of those names become more frequent parts of the show.

Impact hosted a Slammiversary marathon on their Twitch channel with Alicia Atout hosting. It's good to see she survived Su Yung kidnapping her!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com question:
1. Long story short, they absolutely could honor Owen without Martha (or anyone else)'s approval, but they'd get a lot of backlash for going against his widow's wishes. I don't think they want to stir up that kind of public enmity.

More wrestling tomorrow.
