WWE Network content notes, international NXT signing official, WWE live event notes, WWE promotes tryout, assorted WWE press, Omega apologizes for booking, and Questions on why indies work with WWE, dream producers/agents, the Heart and Soul of NXT, and WWE's status as a touring entity

"Ride Along" after Raw will feature Rusev Day and the IIconics.

"Something Else to Wrestle With" this week will focus on The Rock's 1997 and 1998.

WWE Network will soon have collections for the women's evolution and Jeff Jarrett. Good to see Double J being honored. I hope he's in WWE 2K19, too.

Io Shirai officially announced joining NXT at Smackdown Live's June 30 Japanese live event. There's a lot of anticipation about her future. I look forward to seeing how she does.

- Hideo Itami defeated The Miz at that same show. Shinsuke Nakamura was, once more, not in action.

WWE detailed their recent Performance Center tryout. I hope we see some of those names join Shirai, Keith Lee, and Deonna Purrazzo at NXT soon.

- San Francisco NFL player Earl Mitchell visited during the tryouts.

Jerry Lawler told two sets of Vince McMahon stories, detailing ribs.

Kenny Omega apologized for a registered sex offender working the recent CEOxNJPW card. I'm glad he addressed that and took the action he took.

Ember Moon tossed out the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies' recent WWE Night.

Raw's June 30 live event was affected by travel issues. Drew McIntyre arrived late, while Sasha Banks missed the show. Adam Pearce worked as the ring announcer as a result.

- Bray Wyatt was not on this weekend's live events.

Charlotte Flair spoke to Yahoo.com about her ESPN Body Magazine appearance.

Shania Twain tweeted about meeting Kevin Owens in Montreal.

Drew Gulak defeated Jeet Rama at NXT's June 30 Florida live event. Cool to see some workers getting work there when they're not on tour with other brands.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The only thing I can add is a promotion being associated with WWE theoretically means talents are more likely to work with you if they plan to go to WWE later in their career. That "feeder promotion" is a step on the ladder toward the bigger goal.

2. Kenney and Helms are good picks. I'm not as sure about Thatcher in 2018, and Cornette is a hard pass for any wrestling-related role. I'd add Al Snow, Jimmy Jacobs, and Joey Mercury.

3. I can definitely see the comparisons on those fronts.

4. That sounds like it would be the case!

5. Both of those certainly merit mentioning.

More wrestling tomorrow.
