Daffney and WWE, Wrestling's Most Controversial Moments DVD, Questions on Vader, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Jack Swagger, Sin Cara, and WWE's production, DDP talks Savage and a comeback, correction on Impact Wrestling rating, Smackdown vs. Raw changed into new series, Nash talks about his role in WWE, Skidmarks talks, TNA fantasy league, WWE iTunes updates, Jeremiah interview, Diva on BET, NBC Universal higher-up mentions WWE, new rapper in the UWF, Smackdown rating, Hogan responds to Warrior and the heat on Brian Knobs, 3rd Jericho book, and details on the finale for Tough Enough

Someone asked about Daffney possibly going to WWE. I haven't heard anything to suggest that to be the case, but I'd certainly like for it to happen. I don't know if that would affect her TNA lawsuit in any way. If I see anything about the subject, I'll be sure to pass it on.

Here's a pretty cool idea for a DVD: Wrestling's Most Controversial Moments. That'd be a tough one. The Montreal Screwjob maybe?

Here's my take on today's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I really doubt we'll see another run from Vader. He could be in a match with or against his son at some point, but even that's up in the air. I say he has a pretty solid chance of going into the Hall of Fame, especially since they just did a big interview with him and signed his son to an FCW deal.

2. I wouldn't put that in the likely category. I could see some of those matches appearing on DVDs for the stars you mentioned, but a full-on SMW DVD seems pretty unlikely given how relatively unknown the company is.

3. My guess is that they wanted to keep Swagger a heel but separate him from Cole. He seems like such a natural heel that I think they'll keep him in that role for the foreseeable future.

4. You're right; they don't. I think as time goes on Sin Cara will adjust more to the WWE style like Rey Mysterio has (but still keeping a lot of his signature luchaness). Right now they're mainly trying to get over the stuff he can do before putting him in situations where he'd work more like other Superstars.

5. They can definitely add a lot of visual flair to their recap packages and the like. I think it's great because it really makes the things they promo mean more. Sometimes they show those packages a few too many times for my tastes, but they make things look important when they want to.

Diamond Dallas Page had an interview recently. I'd love for him to work in WWE in some capacity. Anyway they can use someone like that to help grow the product in some fashion (be it working with younger talent, doing PR work, etc), as long as the price is right, is a good thing for the company and the industry as a whole.

Thursday's Impact Wrestling actually did a 1.2, slightly above the 1.19 I first posted. My mistake.

THQ released a trailer for its new WWE game, coming in the fall. They're dropping the "Smackdown vs. Raw" name in favor of "WWE '12", which sounds kind of silly. "WWE 2012" I'd be fine with. They are more than just Smackdown and Raw now, so I guess it sounds more inclusive.

Update: Here's more on the specific changes they made. This game has potential.

Kevin Nash talked to Slam! about his role in WWE. He's right as far as match psychology being what ultimately matters in a performance. While there are people who tune into see special moves and the like, the majority of your main eventers don't work a high-flying style that focuses on fancy maneuvers. You can draw a lot more money off of a John Cena than an Amazing Red, because Cena's much better at sucking you into the story of a match. In the end, it's supposed to resemble a real competition, not a show of aerial maneuvers. They can add to a match, but they shouldn't be the whole point of it. Rey Mysterio can do some pretty cool things in the ring, but his matches are put together to where those moves mean something to a match. Bottom line, if you can tell that someone's match is just setting up for some special top rope moves, they're not really doing their jobs as "actors" and performers.

PWTorch.com has an interview with Tough Enough's Ryan Howe, now pretty much destined to be known as Skidmarks. It's a pretty good read. He puts over his experience on the show for the most part.

TNA will soon launch something similar to Fantasy Football, which is an absolutely awesome idea. WWE used to have something like this, but for some reason it didn't last very long. Fortunately they thought around the whole "people can just read spoilers" idea. I hope that works out well for them. The piece refers to them as Impact Wrestling primarily, and the website directs to ImpactWrestling.com (as opposed to that domain redirecting to TNAwrestling.com), so they could very well end up completely changing the name at some point. However, they still have the TNA name attached to a number of PPVs and championships and the like.

Here's what's new on iTunes from WWE.

Tough Enough's Jeremiah Riggs had an interview with a local news outlet. I still think they made the right call in eliminating him. What they showed of him this week was enough to give someone second thoughts. On a side note, I hope WWE makes a DVD of this show with more comments from everyone.

Alicia Fox will be on 6/1's Mo'Nique show on BET.

Bonnie Hammer, who is in charge of a number of networks including USA and SyFy, was interviewed and WWE came up a time or two. It's interesting if you're into that kind of thing.

Rapper 40 Glocc has been confirmed for UWF First Blood. After the PPV is taped, I'm not going to cover them anymore since they're not getting a TV deal like WWE or TNA. I feel that if I covered them, I'd also have to cover a number of other smaller promotions and I simply don't have the time or interest to get into that much wrestling stuff.

Friday's Smackdown did a 1.86 rating. Not bad. I wish the show did even better because I usually enjoy it pretty well.

Hulk Hogan took to Twitter to respond to recent issues. I don't think anyone's trying to "bury" Knobs by getting upset that he was making fun of the death of a beloved wrestler. That's going to tick a lot of people off. I get that it's a joke and all, but it's one that a lot of people are going to get upset over, regardless of their feelings towards him as a person.

Chris Jericho will be doing a 3rd book about his wrestling career. That's fantastic, as the first two have been very well received.

Finally, PWInsider.com has all the details for what Tough Enough's finale will be like. Sounds grand. Presumably they'll move up the dark match and Superstars taping?

That's all for Tuesday's news. More to come tomorrow.
