NXT's Corey Graves worked against Brodus Clay on recent live events in losing efforts. Fandango also worked, beating Yoshi Tatsu. It will be interesting to see how they fit into things with the part-timers back and getting pretty much guaranteed TV time.
Roddy Piper was interviewed. Fun stuff. Always good to hear from him. We've GOT to see a Punk/Piper segment.
The power outage at the Super Bowl has people wondering what WWE would do in the same situation. They would have back-up power and try to keep the ringside area and announcers' area powered so the show could go on.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'd have to hear his side of the story before making a judgment. I can definitely see the complaint, though.
2. I'd like to think that they'll get around to that eventually.
3. I'm definitely down for Punk being in the title picture at Mania. He's earned it. That said, it would be pretty big for him to work with Taker if he's available.
4. As they said, he's been working live events under the gimmick. Presumably they're waiting on the right time to bring him out. I think they can make the gimmick work if they play their cards right.
5. Maybe he had to get the board's approval to work with Lesnar and Punk?
More wrestling tomorrow.
