Main Event:
Strong promo by Show. They've done a good job keeping him strong. If only they cared so much about certain other members of the roster.
I'm not necessarily saying the The Usos should beat Big Show, but they didn't exactly look strong there. They're really stuck in the lower card.
Clay had a decent showing vs. Show. I can't complain too much.
Show vs. Khali was ok for a big man match. Show's looking pretty strong.
I'm very glad that Miz wasn't fed to Big Show, especially after Show had 3 matches.
Nice segment with Maddox. He's a good talker.
Unexpectedly good promo between Gabriel and O'Neil. O'Neil's really growing as a competitor.
Titus vs. Gabriel was pretty solid. Yes, Titus just did power moves and played to the crowd, but that's his style. I hope both guys continue to grow as they impressed here.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Santino Marella has been out of action for several weeks due to some sort of neck injury. I think he'll be fine as an act when he returns.
Darren Young is also injured, though specifics aren't known. That's unfortunate for PTP. This might mean that Management looks at Titus as a singles star and sees what he can do there. I wish both Santino and Darren speedy recoveries, as both perform well.
The Rock talked about wrestling John Cena and more.
WWE has signed a new Diva for NXT by the name of Kendra Smith (who will likely be rechristened shortly). She has already begun training. While she doesn't have a background in wrestling, she appears to be in great shape and lists kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA/grappling as her skills. If you're going to sign someone with no wrestling experience, you can do worse than someone with that skill set. I wish her the best.
Jack Swagger was arrested after driving erratically. He was found to be in possession of marijuana. I hate reporting stories like this. Swagger's got potential and he could very well have just blown the biggest shot of his career. I think this kind of looks bad on the company. WWE might should fine him or put him back in the midcard for a while and go with Del Rio vs. Henry at Mania. It's really a shame that they might have to go that route.
Raw got an average of 4.66 million viewers, which is good since it followed a big PPV.
Jerry Lawler gave an update on his health. I'm glad he's in good spirits and is living a healthier lifestyle. It is very dangerous to be talking about a wrestling return at this point. It wouldn't shock me at all if he ended up back in the ring down the line, though.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think they will at least consider it IF the upcoming experiment is a success. How cool would that be for them?
2. I doubt they'll do anything! It's not a huge deal to them, and honestly probably won't make a massive change in ratings. TNA's still a good ways from being a big threat to WWE.
Nothing to add to 3. Lots of questions about TNA going on the road!
4. Not happening. There's bad blood there, hence the lawsuits. I'd love to hear him cut promos on Hogan, though.
5. A good number of people who are behind Ambrose (and Rollins for that matter) are familiar with their pre-WWE work, in the same vain as Punk, Bryan, and Cesaro. I think both Rollins and Ambrose have some solid qualities. I've been impressed with Ambrose's general "air" (mannerisms, promos, etc.) and Rollins' athleticism in particular. They make a good pairing. Reigns isn't too shabby either.
More wrestling tomorrow, and our Blue Echo podcast should be beginning in a few minutes!
