Query on Devon's sons, NXT notes including new faces, Big E wrestles, more on Swagger and Colter including offer to Glenn Beck, Interviews with Nese/Miz, Darren Young update, Regal's tips for aspiring wrestlers, Impact audience, Raw pre-show?, and Questions on JBL, the X-Division, Taker, and Dean Ambrose

First up, a query:
1. Devon's sons, Terrence and Terrell Hughes, are still being trained by their father and doing pretty well in amateur wrestling. You can find them on Twitter here.

A good number of NXT notes here:
The dark match from the most recent taping saw Jake Carter (Vader's son) and Garrett Dylan (Kris Kritofferson's son) defeat Axl Keegan and Travis Tyler. I believe this was Tyler's in-ring debut. I hope all four have great futures!

Scott Dawson, formerly KC McKnight and KC Anderson, made his NXT debut alongside Judas Devlin in a handicap match against Adrian Neville (formerly PAC). Details are scarce on him.

Bayley, formerly Davina Rose, also debuted at the taping against Paige.

Two new faces popped up on the NXT website (in addition to Bayley): Malik Omari, billed from Gambia, and Troy McClain, who is recent signee Alexander Jones. I have high hopes for McClain given his background.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Ric Flair was interviewed ahead of an NXT event also featuring his daughter Charlotte. Good to hear that she's got a solid background and WANTS to be a wrestler instead of just being signed and used because of her last name.

Big E Langston competed on the Raw main event in Qatar. I hope he impressed since he's starting off so high on the card. He and Ziggler lost to Cena in a handicap match, which will certainly rustle some jimmies. I hope there was something done to protect Ziggler and Langston instead of it just being another case of Super-Cena dominating.

Jack Swagger is not a part of this weekend's live events, but is scheduled for Raw. He's in a pretty delicated situation right now.

Brodus Clay, Natalya, and Alicia Fox read to kids, which is kind of funny since Natalya and Alicia just fought Naomi and Cameron.

WWE has invited conservative commentator Glenn Beck to Monday Night Raw following his criticism of the Swagger/Colter angle. It's smart of them to capitalize on that and use a polarizing figure to get attention, but if he actually appears there's the chance that he breaks kayfabe and I don't think they want that.

They even had Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger cut a promo on him. Very good work.

Update: It's not happening. I'm really not all that surprised.

Former TNA superstar Tony Nese was interviewed. It's nice that there's no bad blood with TNA. I hope he has good stuff in his future. Good listen, and he has the right philosophy of working his ass off to get noticed.

Darren Young is expected to be out for over six months, which is a very unfortunate setback. He had some good stuff going for him and I think was really dedicated to the business. It will be interesting to see how he fits in when he returns and what they do with Titus O'Neil in the current environment.

The Miz also talked. He's a perfect public face for the company. Solid promo guy.

William Regal put out some tips for aspiring pro wrestlers. I can't put them over highly enough.

Impact drew in 1.35 million viewers. Not too shabby, though given that Hogan and Sting were advertised for the main event, I expected it to be higher.

Jack Swagger could have to appear in court for his DUI. I hope things work out to where he can still do big things in his career. It's such a shame that this happened.

WWE is considering doing a pre-show for Raw via the WWE app and likely YouTube. Not a bad idea.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think word would have gotten out that he was doing a commercial, so I'm going with "no" here.

Nothing to add to 2.

3. It could definitely use some more workers and attention. And RVD's still in pretty good condition despite his age. I have no problem with him being the focal point because he can still bring the goods. I think the Knockouts division is in a pretty good place right now, with Gail, Mickie, Tessmacher, Tara, and Velvet all doing solid work. It could be better, of course, but for now it's fine.

4. It's obviously going to happen at some point. We just don't know when. He's a legend and is held in really high regard by WWE, so he can pretty much work when he wants to. I don't think we've seen the last of him, but the clock is running out and he has earned retirement.

5. I see some Roddy Piper and Brian Pillman in him. It should tell you something about how good a talent is when he is compared to so many memorable names from the past.

More news tomorrow, and our Blue Echo podcast will be up later in the day.
