First up, a query:
1. NXT still exists. It's something like its own brand with a champion and tag team champions. Gone are Pro's polls and that kind of thing. They've got a good deal of up-and-coming talent there, as well as some main roster people that you don't see much of elsewhere.
Chikara's Eddie Kingston talked.
C.M. Punk called into a radio show to talk to a fan of his who was famously upset that Punk lost at the Royal Rumble. One-of-a-kind listen.
Ric Flair will be at the 2/24 NXT live event in Melbourne, FL.
Zack Ryder will be at the 2/15 NXT live event in Fort Pierce, FL.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
The most recent Impact got 1.58 million viewers. Not bad at all.
Jeff Hardy talked ahead of a TNA show.
Chris Jericho is advertised for the 2/4, 2/11, and 2/18 Raw tapings, the 2/12 Smackdown taping, the Elimination Chamber PPV, and the Raw after WM29. It will be interesting to see how they use him.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.
2. You don't think it does something for someone to win in quick, decisive fashion (like a true squash match)? It makes you look strong for making short work of someone. As for Rhodes vs. Cena, they should have done a better job protecting Rhodes even in a loss. It would be interesting to do Cena vs. local talents, but that would basically be killing time.
3. I think they could have given us Cole vs. JR at Mania and I think Lawler would be willing to let them use that for heat.
4. If WWE doesn't use Flair to take bumps, he'll go somewhere that will. So I guess they figure that they'd rather have him take bumps for their talent than someone else's.
Nothing to add to 5.
More wrestling tomorrow.
