Briscoes shoot, post-Raw dark match, WWE signing official, World Champ rocks the boat, Interviews with Ziggler+AJ/Kane, McMahons/Booker/Jericho updates, NXT star profiled, and Questions on the Divas, WWE Creative, CWFH, ROH stars in WWE, and the TNA Hall of Fame

ROH performers the Briscoe Brothers discussed their WWE tryout. I wouldn't count them out for coming to WWE under the HHH regime IF they can keep a handle on some of the comments they've made in the past. They're definitely not PG. TNA should maybe also be looking their ways with the same caveat. They're highly lauded in some parts of the IWC.

John Cena beat Ryback in a Tables match after Raw. No shock there.

Just in case I haven't posted this, because there's seemingly been some back-and-forth on whether this was a done deal or not, Sami Callihan is indeed set to go to WWE once he finishes up his indie dates. This was expected and a lot of people reported it as fact, but I hadn't heard it confirmed by a credible source until now. He's got a great look, 7 years of experience (including over 500 matches), and is only 25. Great signing, WWE.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Dolph Ziggler made a series of Tweets targeting how he's been treated by WWE: Tweet 1 Tweet 2 Tweet 3 Ziggler doesn't fit the "big guy" mold and is very good from an in-ring perspective, so WWE's probably confused at why people like him so much and want him to be pushed. Vince is still stuck in the Hogan vs. Andre days in some ways.

Speaking of Ziggler, he and AJ Lee were interviewed by my local news station! How awesome is that?
Maybe one day I'll be on there. I wish they would have identified him as World Champion on the on-screen graphic, but what can you do? Props to Ziggler for knowing the history of wrestling in the area and for both of them for putting over the show and PPV.

Triple H and Mr. McMahon are advertised for the next two Raws. Meh.

NXT performer Enzo Amore was profiled. His answer to that "Where you see yourself in 20 years" assignment was awesome.

Kane was interviewed ahead of a live event. Who would have thought that the former Dr. Isaac Yankem would go on to become so successful? Keep this in mind when you look at a performer like Fandango, Santino, or Ryder and think that there's no way they could ever be successful as main eventers. And I've been watching him since I was a kid, too. He's one of only a few superstars who have been with WWE longer than I've been watching (along with Taker, HHH, and Mark Henry).

Raw's audience was up to 3.99 million. They were up against the NBA playoffs the previous week and rebounded.

Booker T.'s recent surgery went well. Good to hear!

Chris Jericho's Fozzy will be on tour in September and October, so I wouldn't expect him in WWE around those dates.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I know what you mean. We haven't had a Divas' Title feud between two fierce rivals since... wait... But other than Kaitlyn vs. AJ, things haven't been as good as they used to be. It's possible that things change in time with the likes of Paige, Summer Rae, Emma, and Sasha Banks waiting in the wings. They've got some talented performers. They just don't use them as well as a lot of us would like. Maybe if they got a lot of views for Superstars episodes featuring Divas matches, they'd do something better with them?

2. He's VINCE MCMAHON, DAMNIT. It does seem like they've got pretty much everything they could want except for a good booking direction.

3. Yeah, I don't think it's at TNA level (pre-Spike). At ROH level is debatable. Either way, it's good that more people can see them.

4. It's difficult to guess who would be able to adapt to the WWE style. I've seen very little of ROH, but I liked Kevin Steen in what I've seen him in. Whether WWE would be willing to take a chance on someone who clearly defies the "WWE look" is an interesting question. They did just sign Sami Callihan. Time will tell!

5. I know Kurt Angle really appreciated being inducted whereas Sting saw it to some degree as "being put out to pasture". It's got some credibility for sure, but it's not the same as WWE's (as flawed as that is).

More wrestling tomorrow.
