Inspirational Batista tweet, BMA leg drop victim update, Bryan hurt on Raw, Graham update, ROH star has WWE tryout, TNA announcer gone, major MMA star to TNA, more Cena, appearances for the Bellas/Otunga, helping Zema Ion, Interviews with Orton, Raw audience, and Questions on the NWA, wrestlers from the future, chair shots to the head, and D'Lo

Batista put up a very cool Tweet about trying out for your dreams. I'm not even going to say anything snarky here. It's something a lot of people should read.

The Billboard Music Awards leg drop victim could have brain damage. It wouldn't be a surprise.

Daniel Bryan got a cut on his arm after being put through a table on Raw. What do you know? Hardcore spots hurt people.

"Superstar" Billy Graham is having a kidney stone removed soon. I've heard that can be pretty brutal.

Billy Eaton is still in the hospital. More on this as it comes in...

More wrestling coming up.

ROH's Prince Nana had a tryout for WWE ahead of Raw. It's crazy that the company is seeking out well-known indie names. That seems like a complete 180 from the Laurinaitis days. I've seen him a time or two as a manager. Maybe he's what Kofi Kingston needs to get out of his funk?

TNA has dropped announcer Todd Kennely in order to focus on the dynamic between (pro-TNA) Mike Tenay and (pro-Aces and Eights) Taz. He could be brought back down the line, as he has a strong ally in Eric Bischoff. I'm personally ok with a 2-person announce team. I don't see why you need 3!

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, MMA superstar, has signed a multi-year contract with Spike which will involve working with TNA in some fashion. More on this as it develops. That's a pretty big signing. I hope his appearance leads to more eyeballs and money for TNA.

Update: He'll be making an appearance on Impact. Wow; they're not wasting any time, are they?

Kmart will feature a John Cena-themed clothing line. That's pretty cool for WWE and Cena. Not so much for people tired of seeing his face everywhere. I applaud WWE and Cena for reaching that many fans, but there's definitely some fan backlash here.

The Bella Twins did some media touring to promote E!'s Total Divas. I actually just finished a book about reality TV and how it's basically a tool for product placement (this whole show is basically a promotional vehicle for WWE). Also, things are heavily edited and manipulated to present the story that the producers want to tell. More here.

David Otunga, who hasn't wrestled since March, will be appearing at a Bodybuilding expo. I'm not really sure why he hasn't been used since then, other than the standard "Creative has nothing for him". I don't recall anything about him being in NXT either. He joins a number of stars that are very much "out of sight, out of mind" for WWE. Unless someone comes up with an idea for him soon, he might just stay there with Hawkins, Riley, JTG, DiBiase, Hunico, Camacho, Jackson, Christian, Bourne, Primo, Epico, Tatsu, Bo Dallas, Regal, Alicia Fox and Layla. Some of those names are working live events and/or NXT, but you'd be forgiven for not knowing that some of them are still under contract. All of them to the best of my knowledge are cleared to compete. Are all of those talents potential future World Champions? Not at all. Heck, some of them I might consider releasing if I was in HHH's position (they'd have chances to redeem themselves of course). But I think it's wasteful to have that many people under contract you don't know what to do with while you debut even more talents.

Here are details on how to support a benefit show for TNA's Zema Ion.

Randy Orton had several interviews in conjunction with the upcoming release of his latest WWE film. I'm glad that he gets time off from time-to-time. As for being WWE or World Champion, I don't think it's out of the question that WWE would put him in that position despite the two Wellness strikes making him a liability. They did it for Jeff Hardy after all.

Raw's audience this week was 3.68 million going up against the NBA Playoffs. That's the lowest point they've hit all year. Imagine if they didn't have Vince and Stephanie on the show!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Because it's 2013? They're not even in the top 3 American promotions any more. There's really not much to report on. I just focus on WWE and TNA at any rate, since that's where most of the action is and where most fans look.

2. I was hoping this was a Tekno Team 2000 question, but apparently not. And they say that storylines today don't make any sense!

3. Pretty much that. The post-WM29 fans were pretty much just out to amuse themselves it seems, whereas the Lesnar/Goldberg haters were more legitimately angry.

4. As for the second part of the question, HHH and Taker were reportedly fined for breaking the rule.

5. D'Lo's a part of management, while Taz isn't. That's the best answer I can think of. He was (is?) behind-the-scenes pulling some strings for them, like getting Brisco a contract as the 3rd judge on Gut Check when Snow was mysteriously out-of-action. And though we're looking at the real deal now, I think he'll have a relatively brief run.

More wrestling tomorrow.
