Del Sol update, WWE wants a change in Creative, reaction to Slammiversary, Sabin and Storm hurt, Former WWE/World Champion at NXT, Bellas appearance, WWE live event profiled, Slammiversary visitors, RVD update, Hogan puff piece, a look at Gut Check, Interview with Iron Sheik, Smackdown audience, Kofi has surgery, Callihan update, more on Taker charity, what happened after Raw, strong Bryan endorsement, and Questions on Lesnar, NXT, and saving WWE's abandoned stars

While it was teased that Samuray del Sol would win the DGUSA Championship and work a few more dates with the promotion before heading to WWE, he was both beaten and unmasked at EVOLVE 22. I'd say that that's pretty definitive as to whether that was his last night in the promotion.

WWE is seeking new members of the Creative team, including new head writers for Raw and Smackdown. The popular theory is that there's not as much wrong with the current Creative team as there is with trying to please Vince and Stephanie. I'm glad that one of the qualifications is knowing the current WWE stories. You'd think that would be a given.

Those in TNA were said to be really happy with Slammiversary. Everyone did work hard, even if it might have been somewhat self-destructive.

Chris Sabin needed some stitches to close a wound in his head following Ultimate X. As he fell from the cables with his newly won X-Division Championship, it hit him in the head and busted him open. Sabin hasn't had the best luck the past few years, has he?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Sheamus is set for the 6/20 NXT taping. I'm interested to see how they'll use him. Most everyone I've seen who follows the current season of NXT is impressed by what they're doing (minus the push of Bo Dallas).

The Bellas were a part of NBC Sports' The Crossover.

Here's a review of a recent WWE live event. I like Brie Bella and Naomi, but that's not a particularly compelling match-up. Is it any shock that fans only care about matches like Cena vs. Ryback given how little time a lot of lower and midcard performers get?

James Storm was hurt after Slammiversary, which isn't surprising given his recent injury. He's one of the best pure babyfaces in the business: very authentic in his character.

Chef Robert Irvine (Gail Kim's husband), and ESPN's Robert Flores were at Slammiversary.

Rob Van Dam has signed on for a number of independent dates for later in June, so I'm guessing he's not showing up in WWE or TNA any time soon.

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, BROTHER. THE TNA LOCKER ROOM IS FULL OF HULKAMANIACS, DUDE. JUST READ THIS PIECE ABOUT THE HULKSTER. All of TNA's wrestlers have an old-school mindset? From the looks of things they care a lot more about "having a good match" and getting "TNA" and "This is awesome!" chants than "workin' the marks, brother" and actually drawing money.

Newsday.com looked at some local wrestlers vying for a spot in TNA's Gut Check. Props to Newsday for almost always having good, knowledgeable wrestling coverage.

Mandatory.com did "Where Are They Now?" on various wrestlers. Some of those pictures aren't very flattering (which might well have been the point). Some of those guys have improved since those pictures were taken (Hardy, Hall, and Roberts in particular).

The Iron Sheik shared his one-of-a-kind thoughts on Hollywood. NSFW. That shirt is pretty awesome.

Smackdown's audience dropped to 2.41 million. Maybe if they had their World Champion?

The script for Raw changed a number of times before the show aired due to it competing with the NBA Playoffs. Not that it doesn't get changed a lot on other weeks.

Kofi Kingston had bone chips removed from his elbow and will soon begin physical therapy. No update on how long he'll be out.

Sami Callihan is not booked for any independent shows past 6/24. He is expected to head to NXT in July. For those of you who have never seen him, I suggest doing a Google Image search. He definitely doesn't look like your standard "pretty boy athlete". Hopefully they let him keep what makes him unique.

How awesome is this? The Undertaker blatantly broke character for a charity event. He's so protective of his character that a lot of times he won't appear on camera at something like the Hall of Fame.

Stop me if you've heard this one: After Raw, John Cena recovered from being beat down and put Ryback through a table. Then he spoke highly about some Special Olympians in attendance. Can't let the little Jimmys down, you see.

Chris Jericho put over Daniel Bryan on Twitter. I'd like to applaud Jericho for supporting the next generation of talents.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall when he's around? I don't see him being someone to pal around with a lot of people and being really friendly, but he's not there to make friends.

2. How crazy is it that we're talking about Triple H being in charge of some good things for the future of THIS BUSINESS? I think he's doing a pretty darn good job in his role. This is a far cry from the Triple H who was (is?) seen as protective of his spot and holding others back.

3. This is sadly one of those areas I'm not really familiar with. Vince is hard to predict, though, so who knows?

4. To me the problem with those names mentioned (even to some degree now that McGillicutty is Axel) as well as a couple of other names who aren't doing much is that they're not particularly interesting as characters. Riley really impressed me on NXT and as Miz's sidekick, but since then he's been positioned as just another guy. I've never seen a Sami Callihan match and I'm already more interested in him than a fair number of WWE superstars because he stands out from the pack. C.M. Punk caught my attention from Day 1 for the same reason. I like Riley, Axel, and DiBiase as in-ring competitors but outside of who they're related to or who they used to be associated with, there's not much "compelling" about them to make me want to see what they can do in the ring. That's what I think they (Management and the wrestlers themselves) need to change more than anything else.

Not really anything to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
