Cena at Comic-Con report, Slammiversary hype, more on returning WWE star, Interviews with Fandango/Bully/Hogan/Bad Influence/Hall/Orton, Henry out, photo of new Championship, Eaton update, and Questions on Big Zeke, TNA vs. Impact, DGUSA/EVOLVE, and Vince liking wrestling

Someone sent some feedback about John Cena's Comic-Con appearance. Someone from the IWC saying something nice about Cena? I'm shocked.

Here's a preview column for TNA Slammiversary, featuring quotes from Sting, Bully Ray, and Daniels. I think the piece in general and the wrestles specifically did a good job putting over the show.

Evan Bourne reiterated that he will return to the ring soon. I know I use this phrase a lot, but it'll be interesting to see where he fits in with those two Wellness strikes and being gone for so long. WWE has him, Justin Gabriel, Sin Cara, and Adrian Neville (NXT) in somewhat similar roles of impressive high-flyers. Who will they get behind and who will stay in the opening couple of matches?

Bret Hart apologized for a joke he made during Bret Hart Appreciation Night with the openly gay Pat Patterson. Note that Patterson wasn't offended and it was a comment between friends, but that doesn't matter. If someone somewhere is offended, it's the joker's problem and apologies have to be made. I wonder if Jonathan Swift had to apologize for "A Modest Proposal" because people got their jimmies rustled. This is really ridiculous.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Fandango was interviewed in a piece looking at his rise in popularity and more. Very good read looking at his career. I hope he goes far. I actually got a kick out of the puns he did, but that's me. The Q&A at that link is also good. Glad that someone appreciated him and Axel. If only they'd start appreciating some of the other talented undercarders who aren't doing much.

Mark Henry suffered a shoulder injury at Extreme Rules and has yet to return. That sucks, since it feels like he kind of just came back from a big injury. It's a shame that time's running out on his career because he's been really on top of his game since the "Hall of Pain" heel turn.

Bully Ray talked to Marvel. I'm very glad that he was willing to split up Team 3D for a while, because that act was really stale by that point and pretty much "going through the motions". They weren't bad, but it was clear that a change was in order. All in all, he told a good story here. He's really improved over the past few years.

Hulk Hogan was also interviewed. There's going to be a LOT of angry posts if he faces Bully Ray for the Title at BFG.

Bad Influence was interviewed ahead of going for the TNA Tag Team Championships. I don't see them winning. They're an enjoyable act in small doses, though.

Here's a photo of the NXT Divas' Womens' Championship. I can't be the only one very surprised that it's not called the Divas' Title.

Scott Hall talked about Vince McMahon's aversion to smoking. Man, what a huge scoop. Story of the year.

Randy Orton was interviewed. He talked about Curtis Axel and Bray Wyatt. I'm glad that at least he understands that there are times when you shouldn't be joking and making wisecracks. Some people don't get that. And it was cool that he put over Axel and the Wyatt Family. Imagine what Hogan would have said if he was given a similar question.

Bobby Eaton is improving, and is expected to have a pacemaker for his heart sometime in the next week.Good news for him.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Apparently he worked WrestleMania AXXESS. Not sure what that means for his injury status. It looks like he could be another "failed big man project" if he doesn't catch someone's attention.

2. Pretty much that. I don't think they're really crazy about the TNA name these days. It was a Vince Russo idea, and he's been gone for a while.

3. So I guess it's something like Raw and Smackdown. I know they use a lot of the same talents, but have different Champions.

Nothing to add to 4.

5. He loves his vision of wrestling, but he calls it and considers it sports entertainment.

More wrestling tomorrow, including how I'd book TNA Slammiversary.
