Assorted WWE Network news

Here's WWE's press release, with all the details. Long story short, it sounds pretty awesome and will be available in a lot of places for pretty cheap (considering how much content will be there).

More here. I'm going to wait to see how successful it becomes before committing to covering NXT.

William Regal will be the subject of a documentary on the Network. That should be fun.

WWE made a filing about how they affect the Network to change things. Long story short, they think it will be a great success by the end of 2015. In the meantime, PPVs could really take a hit.

Everything else after the break.
Here's the official Facebook for the Network. It's close to a million likes at this point. Hopefully those likes turn into subscriptions. WWE's taking a big risk here, but that's kind of Vince's thing. And who knows? Maybe it will pay off. I'm excited at the potential here.

Forbes has an interesting article about the position the launch of the Network puts the company in as far as its TV rights negotiations. It's going to be a pivotal year for THIS BUSINESS.

WWE will hold a conference call next week about the Network. They're really behind it.

WWE will show at least one episode of NXT live on the Network, coming from the next taping on 2/27.

More news as it comes in.

DAY TWO:
Vince McMahon will meet with the WWE roster ahead of Raw to talk about the WWE Network. Talent and analysts alike wonder how PPV bonuses and the like will be determined from here on out.

Time magazine looked at the WWE Network. Press has been almost entirely positive since the announcement. I'm sure WWE would dispute their programming being aimed exclusively at young males. They do reach a wide audience.

Q&A NOTES:
Here's PWInsider.com's recap of the conference call. Lots of stuff going on with that. I definitely think it already has made people think PPVs should cost less.
