TNA releases, what happened after Raw, Interview with Reigns, Cena appearance, Warrior rumor, Kaitlyn says goodbye, EVOLVE visitors, Heyman DVD teaser, Genesis card update, Raw audience, Smackdown dark match, Young passes and Questions on Jake in the Hall, other promotions on the Network, Road Dogg on commentary and MITB

TNA has released Jay Bradley, formerly WWE's Ryan Braddock. He hadn't wrestled for the company since August. Bradley had a pretty short run. There were times when I thought he had some potential, but obviously it never materialized.

Update: TNA also released Wes Brisco, who had been written off at the end of the Aces and Eights angle and hadn't wrestled since September. I liked him alright, but I can see why TNA would want to move in a new direction. I wonder where things stand for Knux and Garett now.

After Raw, Randy Orton challenged John Cena (who had left the building following the attack on his dad). Orton declared a win by forfeit, drawing out Cena. Orton powdered out.

Roman Reigns gave a solid interview on what the Rumble and 2014 look like for him and The Shield.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

John Cena is set for "Watch What Happens Live" on Bravo on 1/15 at 11 p.m. There will probably be more on that appearance tomorrow.

Ryback is claiming to be inducting Warrior into the WWE Hall of Fame. I'm not sure who would be the best person to put Warrior in...

The former Kaitlyn thanked the fans for their support. I love her dry sense of humor.

Ethan Carter III, Evan Bourne and a number of NXT performers visited at a recent EVOLVE show in Orlando. Trent Baretta reportedly took a verbal shot at Bill DeMott at the event. I imagine some NXT performers would love to do the same.

Here's a brief teaser for the upcoming Paul Heyman DVD. I hope Undertaker will be a part of it.

Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship is set for Genesis. James Storm vs. Gunner for the Feast or Fired briefcase will take place on the next week's event.

Raw was at 4.40 million viewers this week. That's a pretty good number. I hope things keep up.

NXT's Rusev defeated Tyson Kidd for Smackdown's dark match. I can just imagine Vince's face when he first saw Rusev.

Mae Young passed away at the age of 90. WWE issued a statement from Vince. Tomorrow's post will feature a lot of reaction to Young's passing. She made a big mark on a lot of people for sure.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Those would both be great moments for his life being turned around. WWE sees itself like Disney; that would be quite the feel-good moment.

2. I'd be pretty surprised if they went that route for the reasons mentioned. It is the WWE (umbrella) Network, not the "WWE and other, unaffiliated promotions" network. They'd definitely want to dictate what those promotions do.

3. I think that's a great idea once enough time has passed from the current angle.

4. Orton has turned from face to heel and back during that time frame and hasn't been at the top of the card as much as Cena all that time. But they've definitely used both of them a lot in main events.

5. I don't think there needs to be a strict rule in place about that kind of thing. Ideally, there'd be something of a mix. I assume we'll be down to just one MITB match this year, which will keep the gimmick fresh.

More wrestling tomorrow.
