Main Event Reax - 1/15/14, Interview with James Storm/Bully/Hogan, Bryan hurt, Young remembered, Cena to appear, more on WWE Network and Warrior in the Hall, Cena Sr. "injury" report, more on new TNA names, new head of TNA Creative, Hogan to be seen by millions, WWE Hall of Famer launches new facility, Flair appearance and Questions on Punk vs. Bryan at Mania, buying TNA, talents' pull, Old School Raw and slacking off

Main Event:
Kofi vs. Axel was good enough. No comment from Kofi on beating Orton? It's like nothing's changed from Monday.

Looks like WWE's ribbing Ryback. If he doesn't take it like a pro, I can see WWE screwing him over push-wise.

No Sandow promo either? Ugh.

I liked Sandow vs. Cara a good deal, but the Ryback silliness took away from it.

I don't think that Maddox segment really did much to build heat to 3MB vs. PTP. It advertised the match, but didn't make it seem like something fans should want to see.

Meh. Not really crazy about the Bad News Barrett gimmick. He does it well, but it feels so limiting for someone who's done bigger things in the past.

Ryback's eating at Vince's house of ribs tonight. This is really stupid if it's not leading to anything worthwhile.

Not crazy about such a brief 3-on-2 match. It didn't have much time to make an impact.

Fine six-man tag to keep that thing going on. I feel like they could have done a similar idea better with just PTP vs. 3MB. PTP could team with Santino or something.

I bet Vince and Kevin Dunn were dying over Ryback running. The rest of us were just confused.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here are some highlights of an interview with James Storm. I really like his current character, so I hope if he does change it's a smart move.

Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion during the cage match on Raw. WWE sent him home from the Smackdown taping to get tested. I hope that's not too big of a setback and he's cleared by the Rumble. WWE's in a dicey situation if they need him for a big angle and he's hurt.

Here's the first set of tributes out for Mae Young. Moolah and Mae would have made for one heck of a reality show. There was only one Mae Young; that's for sure.

Update: Here's another long list of tributes. She probably would have done another table bump in 2014 if WWE would have booked her.

John Cena will appear on "Katie". I expect Katie will do the job.

Bully Ray was interviewed. He might have been the centerpiece of TNA earlier in 2013, but definitely not now.

Hulk Hogan commented on Ultimate Warrior going into the Hall of Fame. Warrior buried Hogan not too long ago.

Triple H said in this week's interview that Warrior will get a live mic at the Hall. Oh, boy.

The official angle for Orton attacking Cena, Sr. is that Cena has a dislocated jaw and a broken orbital bone. Maybe he should just stay home when WWE's in town?

Aria Systems wrote the latest "WWE Network will kick ass" piece. Needless to say, they like it.

John Cena talked about his fitness program here and here. I applaud his efforts.

In addition to reaching out to ROH names, former boxing champion Riddick Bowe is pitching coming to TNA. Given the lack of success TNA's MMA crossovers have had, I don't know if that's the right move.

Update: Dixie Carter teased the debut of former ROH World Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards on Twitter. I'm ready for the next stage of freshening up TNA's roster.

John "Big" Gaburick is now the head of TNA Creative. I hope he knocks it out of the park.

Hulk Hogan will be in a Super Bowl commercial, probably to remind those in attendance of the attendance for WrestleMania III.

Harley Race is opening a new facility for his training school in Missouri. That's where Curtis Axel learned the ropes (and the rest of the ring).

Ric Flair was at a recent UFC event, which presumably wasn't near NC.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I don't see any reason to turn Punk heel if that's what the questioner's getting at. I don't see the Mania crowd in particular booing either Punk or Bryan.

2. I don't see much of a reason for ROH to buy it unless they take away some of the TNA guys with it. Do they even have that kind of money right now? It's not like ROH would put out a Sting DVD or anything, and they don't have enough TV time to put over TNA.

3. Midcard and lower-level talents can certainly suggest things, but it won't get them very far if they shoot down too many ideas. "Don't use me for this" can easily become a case of "we won't use you at all."

4. How can they be disappointed with someone being buried when they're not being buried? I imagine at least part of the audience sees the legends as interchangeable people from (a) previous generation(s) they're not familiar with and have no reason to be nostalgic for, though. I do think the novelty of some names is wearing off.

5. Hey, sometimes they want to do something other than their work. It's not uncommon.

More wrestling tomorrow.
