TNA footage on news show, Ziggler hurt, what happened after Raw, more on Flair/NFL, Jarrett update, Interviews with Jake Roberts/Foley/Cornette, WWE makes Conan, Elimination Chamber poster, Knockouts take a break, Ryback in hot water, more on original Sin Cara, Diva sick, Rhodes update, Raw audience, Cena's insane schedule, Bryan chant catches on andQuestions on changing WWE PPVs, Shane Douglas, a new Streak and Cena's politics

Footage of Rob Van Dam delivering a five-star frog splash to AJ Styles from a TNA show was used on MSNBC to illustrate an ice-breaking ship. You'd think they'd use WWE footage given the NBC Universal connection. Note how neither person in that clip is with TNA anymore.

Dolph Ziggler was concussed during a match with Ryback taped for this week's Superstars. He'll have to be cleared by WWE doctors before returning to the ring. If anyone could use a new direction in 2014, it's Ziggler.

After Raw went off the air, C.M. Punk celebrated with the New Age Outlaws and Jake Roberts. Then, John Cena beat Randy Orton when Orton used a low blow. How weird is it to have the famously straight-edge Punk alongside someone with Roberts' history?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

There was somewhat of a controversy with Ric Flair endorsing the San Francisco 49ers over the team of his home state, the Carolina Panthers. He IS the dirtiest player in the game after all.

Jeff Jarrett has removed all references to TNA from his Twitter account. This is a situation I'm pretty interested in. Double J seems like one of few people who can really still shake things up outside WWE.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts talked about his return on Raw. Talk about a comeback story.

Mick Foley talked about wrestling, his show and more. I hope I get to see it some day.

TBS's "Conan" showed footage of Damien Sandow vs. Dolph Ziggler in their present on a pole match, which was clearly a high-water mark for this industry creatively.

Here's the poster for Elimination Chamber. I like it a good deal, even if I'd prefer a current superstar to be the centerpiece.

OVW trainees and TNA developmental performers the Blossom Twins have announced that they will be taking a break from the business. So we won't be seeing them on Impact any time soon. Given how little TNA used them, this probably won't affect things all that much.

After Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion during his match with Ryback set for Superstars, there's notable heat on the latter. After a number of complaints about his work in the ring, don't expect Ryback to be getting a push in the near future. That's a shame, as he showed a lot of potential as a powerhouse while he was going up the card.

The original Sin Cara's WWE contract shall expire sometime in the next few weeks. He is not expected to return. Probably best for both sides.

Eva Marie has been sick to the extent of missing Raw. As far as I know, WWE's still fond of her work.

Cody Rhodes is believed to be fine after Raw, which is good as he could be set for a good little run through Mania season.

Raw hit 4.54 million viewers on Monday, which is quite the jump from the previous week despite stiff competition from the BCS Championship game (which hit more than 25.5 million viewers). Great job.

The latest Jim Cornette shoot interview is out. The NSFW trailer is here. Sounds pretty fun, in typical Cornette fashion.

John Cena flew from Las Vegas for a promotional appearance to working a dark match at Smackdown in Philadelphia (a DQ loss to Randy Orton), then back to Las Vegas for the WWE Network announcement. That's an amazing level of dedication. I hope he doesn't crack from the very intense pressure he's under.

There was a big "YES!" chant at a Michigan State University game. Pretty cool.

For my take on Tuesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely think they should reconsider the role of "gimmick PPVs" in the calendar. As for bringing back old WCW names, I don't see it making a big difference on its own. If they bring back some WCW names for those events or brand them in a way different from how they usually brand WWE PPVs, maybe things would be different. I think the PG rating is misblamed. The no blood policy and lack of chair shots to the head have certainly affected things, but there are good reasons for both those policies. Strong workers don't need blood and a ton of weapons shots to get across a good gimmick match.

Nothing to add to 2. Those things are generally kept private due to their potentially sensitive nature.

3. I'm sure some of it was to stick it to the bigger stars in the whole "rebel" ECW way.

4. That's actually pretty clever if they get the right guy and he eventually gets enough momentum to be seen as someone at Taker's level. It's a much better idea than ending Taker's streak on a whim.

5. I can't blame anyone for being ticked about the Nexus' booking there. They should have really run with that idea.

More wrestling hopefully coming up.
