Foley upset about Bryan booking, Total Divas cast change?, Rumble reactions, original Sin Cara update, Interviews with Bryan/Miz/Shield/Angle/Titus, WWE monopolizing Santa Clara, Rumble guests, Updates on Nash/Show/Rusev, Smackdown audience and Questions on Batista's look, Hogan vs. Warrior, MITB at Mania and Sting in a T-shirt

Mick Foley expanded on his thoughts on Daniel Bryan's booking at the Royal Rumble. Breaking a TV because of a wrestling PPV is not the best message to send. HOWEVER, I'm starting to feel what the detractors are saying. There are people who are really busting their humps only to be thrown aside for already-established performers. I think some of those guys have earned big money matches, but I'd be curious to know the actual value of those older stars vs. the current crop.

Summer Rae will be a part of Season 2 of Total Divas. Some wonder what this means for JoJo. I don't see any reason to release JoJo at this time. I'm a fan of Summer Rae and hope this brings her career even higher.

Kevin Nash and Batista tweeted about the Royal Rumble, because WWE believes Nash and Batista are A+ players and them being in the Rumble instead of Daniel Bryan was best for business. I'll go to bat for Batista, but Bryan should be booked better and I've never really been a Nash fan.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The original Sin Cara is saying he'll use that name going forward in Mexico. WWE's lawyers are probably brushing up on their Spanish.

Batista flipped off a fan after winning the Royal Rumble, getting him heat backstage. And this guy's the babyface? While I find it hilarious, I can see how WWE Corporate wouldn't. They're trying to win over families, after all.

The cast of Educating Yorkshire did a Daniel Brayn-esque "Yes" chant as their speech at the UK National TV Awards. That's pretty awesome.

BBC(!?) talked about the Daniel Bryan controversy. WWE's got to listen to the fans here. Bryan doesn't need to be in the main event of WrestleMania, but they need to let fans know Bryan's going to finally get his revenge from Summerslam. Maybe he takes the title from a heel Batista leading to beating HHH at Summerslam 2014? They could also do Batista vs. BROCK LESNAR that night.

Daniel Bryan gave a 17+ minute interview. Hopefully Batista will do a lot of rounds during his stint.

The Miz made an appearance. What's Monday Night Smackdown?

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins gave an interview. Ambrose cracks me up.

WWE is seeking to prevent conventions and wrestling shows from running the Santa Clara area for WrestleMania 31 weekend. I can't say I'm surprised. WWE wants to be the only game in town. It's sad, really. I don't think they have any duty to "let" other promotions run there, but this feels excessive.

Jim Ross addressed fan criticism of the Royal Rumble. But what does he know? Burn the nonbeliever!

Kurt Angle talked about TNA's losses, going back to WWE, his personal life and more. I can see what he meant about Sting being the cornerstone of the roster: AJ was almost always below the glass ceiling while Sting headlined a number of major PPVs for the company. It's not a great sign that Angle's talking openly about making a jump to WWE. TNA can survive without Kurt, but it's going to be a bumpy ride.

A number of Pittsburgh Steelers attended the Royal Rumble. Just be glad Vince didn't put THEM in the match. That would have actually been kind of funny, admittedly.

There were rewrites to Raw as a result of the crowd reactions at the Royal Rumble. I'd be surprised if they made too big of a change to their plans for Mania. They're pretty locked into things.

There are no plans to use Kevin Nash going forward, which is great news. We need fewer older names coming in for one last pay day, not more.

Big Show wasn't at Raw to sell the effects of Brock Lesnar's chair shots. Smart on their part. I wonder where Show fits in at Mania. You know they're going to use him.

NXT's Lana was backstage at Raw. She's been paired with Alexander Rusev during his time there. There was talk of using Rusev at Raw, but obviously it didn't happen. I suspect we'll see him shortly, though.

The most recent Smackdown hit 3.03 million viewers. It only topped the million mark four times in 2013. That's great. I hope it keeps up.

Titus O'Neil was interviewed. I wouldn't be surprised if his role at Mania is limited to a clustermess pre-show battle royal. They've got to fit in all the veterans, after all.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. He definitely had more of a Hollywood movie star look, but that's appropriate for someone who will be in a big movie this summer. WWE is sports entertainment, so not everyone needs to look like a stereotypical wrestler. It's bizarre to me how people who are "in the know" enough to know about PWInsider don't know WWE hasn't considered itself a wrestling company in ages.

2. They might be hoping for some fireworks when Warrior gets the mic that night. Then again, they were up in arms about Flair going off the rails, so who knows? Hogan's Warrior's biggest rival, so if they can play nice, it'd be a Kodak moment for Hogan to induct him.

3. Asking him what he wants to do definitely makes sense. I still like the idea of Piper's Pit with Hogan being interrupted by 3MB. They could do their shtick, attack Piper and Hogan, then Warrior could even up the odds for the big "legends standing tall" moment. Of course, I'd also love to see Zeb Colter go after the "Real American" moniker Hogan uses. I'm not so sure I want to see Swagger and Cesaro take a beatdown from the old-timers.

4. I'm not a fan of having gimmick matches just as an excuse to have a bunch of big spots. I don't think I'd mind some kind of gimmick match for the Tag Team Titles, though. Presumably Cody's facing Goldust, but maybe Mysterio/Cara and/or The Usos challenge for the gold in some kind of hardcore match (and win).

5. It would be a little disappointing for someone of his caliber to show up as a balding performer who needs a T-shirt to cover things up. Some fans haven't seen him since WCW closed and it'd be a shame if he left a sour taste in their mouths.

More wrestling tomorrow.
