Where HBK was, JR on commentary, Interviews with Rollins/AJ Styles, NXT guests, more on big WWE announcement, Jarrett starting new promotion?, more on Lawler, Smackdown audience, possible injury to WWE champ, upcoming WWE matches and Questions on TNA departures, "smarks" say the darnedest things and using Batista and Lesnar

Shawn Michaels was already set for an event for the Archery Trade Association, so it was unlikely he would have been able to make Raw. I suspect we'll see him again during Mania season.

Jim Ross did commentary on a recent NBA game. I still love that NBA Jam clip...

Seth Rollins talked ahead of Old School Raw. I hope The Shield all have really impressive careers.

The first NXT taping of 2014 is set for 1/9/14. The Wyatt Family and Miz will be there. Could be cool.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
WWE will be streaming their big announcement on 1/8/14 at 9:30 EST on the WWE website. I hope they've prepared for a lot of traffic, because people are really going to want to see the details.

There are rumors going around about TNA founder Jeff Jarrett starting a new wrestling promotion with country music star Toby Keith. Jim Ross downplayed the odds of him being a part of such an endeavor. I don't know much about this alleged new venture for Jarrett at this point.

Here's a preview for a big AJ Styles shoot interview. This looks must-see. He's seen all of TNA's ups and downs.

Jerry Lawler was taken to a local hospital in Baltimore before Raw due to a stomach virus. He's said to be fine now.

Smackdown's audience on Friday was 2.62 million, the lowest mark in nearly three months. Hopefully things pick up as we go into Mania season.

Cody Rhodes removed a boot after his match on Raw, walking to the back with assistance. I hope he's OK. He and Goldust have been amazing.

Set for this week's WWE Main Event is the Real Americans vs. Xavier Woods and R-Truth. Set for Smackdown is Randy Orton vs. Big E Langston. I look forward to those matches. That will be a big test for Langston as a future main eventer.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Pretty much what they said. It's the change in the culture of TNA that led to both of them leaving. I wouldn't be surprised if more departures occur in 2014.

2. How do you know it was taken by the audience as fact!? If Obama says something, do the Republicans who see him as their enemy automatically believe it? Jericho and Edge actually responded on WWE.com, so that counts for something as well. And HHH never said they suck, just that they weren't the top guy. There's a real disconnect between what's actually happening in this angle and what a lot of people apparently believe is happening. All that said, I do think it devalued every name in question when some of them will still come back to WWE.

3. Absolutely not. They could easily have him snap out of it on his way back to the top of the card. It just doesn't make sense to do that one week after he's indoctrinated. It would, however, make sense for him to snap out of it when he realizes he has an opportunity to win another chance at the title. Say, during the Royal Rumble match?

4. I kind of doubt it. They'll probably keep Batista and Lesnar in separate circles, though Batista vs. Lesnar could be huge.

5. Vince didn't say BRYAN wasn't an attraction, just that Summerslam wasn't. He could have been knocking the creative approach to the show.

More wrestling tomorrow.
