Original Sin Cara update, Bryan's injury shakes up live events, NXT star gets tryout, ECW vs. boxing, JR-Mania update, Interviews with Ted Sr./Maryse/Kane/Mathews, NXT visitor, WWE publicity, TNA tryout? and Questions on putting Elimination Chamber on the Network, Heel Dixie, Punk vs. HHH, inducting Warrior and the Wolves in TNA

The original Sin Cara is being advertised for a non-WWE show in Mexico on 3/1. I wonder if WWE will acknowledge him leaving once his contract's officially up.

Big Show replaced Daniel Bryan on one live event loop. This set up Kane to face Erick Rowan and Luke Harper on the other live event loop, which Kane lost. As for Big Show, he lost to Bray Wyatt. I think it's pretty significant that the newer guys beat the established veterans.

Also on live events, NXT's Tyler Breeze beat Justin Gabriel. I wonder how many people will be called up in 2014?

World Xtreme Entertainment is doing a match between The Sandman and former boxing champion Tim Witherspoon. Certainly an interesting idea, but I don't know how well it will all work out.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Jim Ross will be doing a one-man show at the time of WrestleMania AXXESS, so I wouldn't expect him to be there.

Ted DiBiase, Sr. gave an interview. Interesting story about the creation of the Million Dollar Title. I'm sure Vince and Kevin Dunn love that Andre story.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt was a possibility for Royal Rumble, but Bryan's concussion could be too serious. Somehow this will be tied into the "burial" conspiracy as well, I'm sure. The doctors are in on it.

Scotty 2 Hotty visited at an NXT live event. I got a kick out of seeing Too Cool recently.

Dolph Ziggler and The Miz will be at WWE Night in Cleveland in relation to an NBA game. Good for them.

Maryse talked about life after WWE. That's fitting, since AJ just passed her record as Divas' Champion.

Kane was none too pleased on a recent radio appearance when they brought up an old gimmick of his. I wonder what the story was there. I'm willing to give Kane the benefit of the doubt, as he usually comes across as a really nice guy.

Josh Mathews talked about Batista returning and Warrior going into the WWE Hall of Fame. It surprises me to some degree when the name Goldberg comes up in 2014 - I guess his time in both companies was short enough to lead to nostalgia. I also really hope we get some crazy Warrior moments at the Hall. He should be on the next big video game symposium with Ric Flair. I've literally never heard someone accuse Sting of ripping off Warrior. I hope that's a reference to their old team, because the brooding face paint character was based off "The Crow".

Daffney is looking to make an autobiographical audiobook. I'm sure that's quite a story.

In what could have been a tryout match, a wrestler named Dab Savage wrestled Dewey Barnes on a TNA live event. Barnes won.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I just hope WWE can handle the volume of traffic they might get right out of the gate.

2. The more I read questions like this (and, worse, the questions on PWTorch), and from what little I dare to venture in other areas of the Web, the more I question the "smart" mark label. The whole "Authority burying Bryan" thing was bought hook, line and sinker, and now there's this. The Dixie character serves a purpose, namely to lead to the investor angle. If the ratings for Genesis dropped 200,000 or more from the previous week, I could see the argument of her character leading to people changing the channel. Her talking for half an hour is a huge misnomer, because that whole segment built up a number of matches for both weeks of Genesis. The focus at the end of the show was Magnus vs. Sting, not Dixie.

3. This is another "mark" style question and answer, or at least a very biased one. Wins and losses are only part of the story. It's all in what happens after the match and HOW the win or loss is obtained. This is pretty common knowledge. As for Punk beating HHH, HHH isn't just any part-timer. He beat Brock Lesnar last year and took Taker to the limit in previous recent Manias. A win over a sure-fire future Hall of Famer still mostly in his prime would be a notch in Punk's belt. I wouldn't recommend him losing to HHH, but it could be done in a way that protected Punk.

4. The feud with Hogan is what most people think of with Warrior. The only other names I can think of who could work are Sgt. Slaughter and Ted DiBiase, Sr. He had big matches with both.

5. WWE's already pretty stacked. They could have been in NXT for a while, and they presumably didn't want to end up in a Kassius Ohno situation. They'll probably be more featured performers in TNA.

More wrestling tomorrow.
