WWE live event notes, Angle-TNA HoF update, Rumble reactions and Questions on watching Genesis, WWE-NBCU, pushing Cesaro, WWE's meeting and Sting vs. Taker

Alexander Rusev, El Torito and Kane all competed on live events this weekend ahead of appearing in the Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see how much Rusev and Kane work on the main roster going forward.

Daniel Bryan also returned to the ring at live events after being cleared from his concussion. Talk about someone who has a lot of crowd support right now.

Kurt Angle will accept his induction into the TNA Hall of Fame during TNA's UK tour. I imagine Magnus and crew will crash the party. Should be fun.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Mick Foley made a number of really "mark"y statements on Twitter in relation to Daniel Bryan's booking at the Royal Rumble PPV. This is getting really ridiculous. This is somehow worse to Foley than getting his head bashed by The Rock in the "I Quit" match, or Over The Edge 1999? I think Bryan's a fantastic performer and hope he does get a big push, but at the end of the day we're basically talking about a TV show here. Keep that in perspective.

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella responded to Bryan being kept out of the Rumble. Hopefully Mick's remarks were in-character as well.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There's a disconnect between the audience who watches (or doesn't watch) Impact from a Nielsen family and the audience who streams it, just reads results, etc.. The audience for wrestling as a whole is very different from the audience who follows websites like PWInsider. As far as that particular episode, it was built around Sting's last match, as well as some other big gimmick matches and the teased debut of the Wolves. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean no one does.

2. I wondered that as well! I don't know if NBC Universal would be willing to cater to them THAT much, but it's certainly possible. I'm sure those in TNA are keeping a close eye on the situation. If WWE goes to the Viacom family, there's no way they'd want TNA on Spike. TNA losing Spike would be a massive blow. If they couldn't get picked up anywhere else in the States, things could go downhill fast.

3. I don't know if the time is JUST right to break up the team, but I definitely think Swagger vs. Cesaro could be a good idea in 2014. Hopefully Cesaro will become a top face.

4. It's good to be the boss! I don't see many talents who'd be willing to go down to TNA or the indies just because they're upset at WWE.

5. I'm glad someone called them out on this. As for Sting vs. Taker, I don't think it could ever live up to the hype. Both men are winding things down and it's been 13 years since WCW closed. Together, the two of them have more than 100 years on them. If it was on a smaller stage, maybe. But this is WrestleMania 30 and I think Brock vs. Taker is the way to go.

More wrestling tomorrow.
