Nikki on breaking the record, what happened after Raw, Interview with Hogan, another TE name to WWE?, Athena-WWE update, WWE back with Jakks, TNA live event change, next Takeover title, Raw audience, new WWE trademark, and Questions on TNA's future re: GFW, Gail-WWE, using legends, Rollins' next challenger, Cesaro's future, and Cena/Bryan on Total Divas

Nikki Bella celebrated her long title reign on Instagram. She should have also thanked Johnny Ace for signing them despite having no wrestling experience, E! for making "Total Divas"  a thing so they were able to have a second big run in the company, and AJ Lee for earning the company's ire so they got petty and had Nikki break her record.

After Raw, Sting and John Cena celebrated with a young cancer survivor at ringside. Will they be celebrating on Sunday?

Hulk Hogan talked to Sports Illustrated. Hopefully the worst of his lumps are over now.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

TE finalist ZZ has begun training at the WWE Performance Center, so it looks like he's been signed. I didn't watch the show, but he apparently brought a lot of personality (but little in the way of ring acumen). Hopefully he'll surprise people like Miz did. Part of why I didn't watch was because I knew WWE would sign/push whomever they wanted anyway.

WWE signee Athena worked her final WSU match on 9/12. The Divas division in NXT should be interesting in a few months with the new names in the mix.

Update: She finished with AIW on 9/11. She'll be starting at the Performance Center later this month.

WWE has entered a new licensing agreement with Jakks Pacific to create additional content that will hit shelves in 2016, including action figures in the Asia/Pacific region. WWE retains their master toy deal with Mattel through 2019. Basically they got the best of both worlds here. Stockholders will be happy with those results, I think.

DJ Z is replacing Rockstar Spud on this weekend's TNA live events, as Spud will be doing promotional work in the UK for the company. Those January shows are seen as a potential last stand for TNA. We'll see.

The subtitle for the next Takeover special on 10/7 is Respect. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks headlines the show, which will also see the finals of the Dusty Classic. Should be great!

Raw's audience this week was 3.40 million against Week 1 of Monday Night Football. A slight jump for a show with Sting's first TV match for WWE, but they had big competition.

WWE has applied to trademark "Asuka" for the former Kana following her becoming part of NXT. She's been lauded at the level of names like Crews and Itami, so I expect big things.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Impact of Wrestling sounds like something Santino would say. I miss that guy...

a. I don't see TNA ending right after the invasion angle. I'm under the impression that will be blown off before BFG and they'll move on to whatever's next for TNA creatively.

b. The angle isn't a way for TNA to fold into GFW like WCW/ECW to the WWF, but I can certainly see some TNA talents going to GFW if the company goes under soon. Not all of them, but certainly some. I think WWE/NXT and ROH will pick up some, too. And some will just retire or drop off the map. But we're not at that point for at least another few months.

c. Gail doesn't need the money and didn't enjoy her last WWE run, so I doubt it.

2. Pretty much what they said. I like the idea of the legends being fans of the current product/certain superstars and tipping their hats to the new guys. Legends should definitely be used to elevate the full-time roster and company instead of just reliving their glory days. It's a delicate balance sometimes when the legends in question can still "go" well enough to contribute in the ring on a regular basis (like the Dudleys now).

3. THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE!!! BAH GAWD THE BIG RED MONSTER'S BRINGIN' HELL FAHR AND BRIMSTONE! SETH ROLLINS IS RUNNIN LIKE A DAMN SCALDED DOG. Rollins is responsible for him being on the shelf for two months, and spent months before that berating him. The next PPV is Hell in a Cell. It writes itself.

4. Owens needed the wins after losing the NXT Title and coming up short against Cena. Unless there's something tangible on the line, I don't see much reason to do a series of matches between them (even though I'm sure they'd all deliver).

5. I'm sure those behind the show are glad to have that star power.

More wrestling tomorrow.
