NXT/WWE live event notes, top WWE name receives medical attention, NoC match official, DGUSA name to WWE?, another platform for WWE Network, Interview with Owens, and Questions on Nikki's title reign, pushing the Divas, Owen in the HoF, title vs. title feuds, and Jarrett-WWE

Here are results from a recent NXT live event. I'm interested to see how Nia Jax does once she's on the show itself.

John Cena was checked on by medical authorities during his recent live event match with Kevin Owens. He finished the match, but seemed to be hurting. Obviously WWE wants him healthy for Night of Champions, and he remains a top player in the promotion.

Update: Cena was hurt as the result of a botched Code Red/Canadian Destroyer. I applaud him for adding impressive moves to his arsenal, but some (like this) are unnecessarily dangerous.

Update: Cena was said to be OK after the match, and isn't expected to miss any ring time. Hopefully he'll be more careful now.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The Wyatt Family (Wyatt/Harper/Strowman) vs. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and a partner of their choosing is official for Night of Champions. I think Erick Rowan or Daniel Bryan will be the popular theories, but I wouldn't assume it would be either of them. As far as I know, neither have been cleared to return to the ring by WWE.

Top indie name Rich Swann has been pulled from upcoming events in the UK due to "WWE commitments," likely indicating he is in the process of being signed to the company. This is NOT an official done deal at this time, but the two sides are at least trying to make something happen. He's another name with an impressive list of credentials, so he could really add to WWE.

The WWE Network is now available as an app on Windows 10. So, the expansion continues. I hope Windows 10 users make use of it.

Xavier Woods missed WWE live events in order to cover Dragon Con for his WWE gaming channel.

Kevin Owens gave an interview on his past, present, and future. I hope he's quite successful.

Brad Maddox/Joshua Kingsley lost to Jimmy Uso at a recent WWE live event. I think it's about time to fish or cut bait. Either put him in NXT or find out something to do with him.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There were reports of her working through being hurt not too long ago, so that probably has something to do with it. I do think they're caring too much about breaking AJ's reign at the expense of the momentum of the current Divas. How much of a revolution is it really if they're trying to cover up someone who helped start it?

2. I think some people who send in questions like this are losing touch with reality. Most of those statements are ridiculous exaggerations or outright ignore important facts. Vince is balancing the fans of HHH's vision of the Divas with the "Total Divas" fans, of which there are a significant number. Doing what's best for business means doing what's best for all the audience, not just the minority who watch NXT.

3. They can do pretty much whatever they want with the footage, since they own it. And they can acknowledge all he did for the company. But they don't want even more drama from Owen's widow, so they've avoided putting him in the Hall of Fame.

4. It's not like this is some brand new idea WWE could have only learned from watching ROH. And they're doing certain things different, like having a legend return to challenge the champion and not having a time-limit draw.

5. They should absolutely get Double J on there if possible. Honoring Owen should be more important than any WWE vs. TNA/GFW issue.

More wrestling tomorrow.
