Raw Reax - 9/28/15

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.

John Cena holding a championship again isn't particularly new or fresh, but it gave us great matches last time and gave him something to do outside of the main event scene. For a while, anyway.

BASED FUCKING NEW DAY. I like this episode already.

God that was a fun promo from the goofy heels. I wish more acts in WWE had their amount of personality.

- Cena vs. Woods:
Fun stuff so far. I don't think it really hurts the loudmouth manager to lose clean to someone so decorated.

Cena can wrestle like nobody's business when he's in there with the right person. It makes sense for him to work a slower style with main eventers, but he can go with a lot of performers.

Woods had a strong showing given where he is on the card. I liked the match overall.

It made sense to turn that into a six-man tag. Good selling for the MSG show.

- Cena/Dudleys vs. New Day:
I'm liking this one a good deal so far. New Day is hilarious as always.

I hope Big E goes far as a singles star someday.

Nice ending to sell the New Day as threats after they've been destroyed so much.

Not looking forward to Charlotte and Becky on MizTV. The whole thing was awful last time.

Funny stuff with Kane and Rollins. This idea has some potential.

Strong promo with Orton, Ambrose, and Reigns. This angle's been pretty good.

- Henry vs. Big Show:
It's crazy this match is still happening in 2015.

And, mercifully, it's over. There's just not much to get excited about with either man, since both have really done everything in WWE (other than Henry winning the WWE Title; he got good reigns with the World and ECW Titles, though).

The sooner I don't have to hear about Total Divas anymore, the better.

That wasn't too bad to get to the next stage of the Divas Revolution.

I wish there was more to this Divas' feud. It definitely seems like Divas Revolution is more of a marketing gimmick than a reality, although we're definitely seeing SOME changes.

Not an awful ending to MizTV.

- PCB vs. Team Bella:
Not a bad match overall. Paige vs. Natalya could be fun. Natalya's still a talented wrestler, but she's kind of part of the old guard of the division at this point.

Funny stuff in a twisted way between Kane and Rollins.

- PTP vs. Harper/Strowman:
Oh PTP's going down here.

PTP put up a good fight, but Strowman's WWE's new monster project.

- Stardust vs. Neville:
I'm interested to see what's next for Barrett. Whose side is he on!?

I guess he's kind of a tweener? I wonder what the best move with him would have been since he's had a number of reboots at this point.

At least they're not pretending Kane didn't do a ton of awful things before becoming the guy in the suit.

Good move by Kane to turn things on Rollins by showing his own villainous behavior.

I guess it would make sense for WWE to be OK with someone like Kane in an authority position since he has to deal with people like Rollins.

Good dick move from Rollins to Pedigree Kane. You'd think it'd be hard for the smaller guy to be the heel against the monster, but they're trying.

WHOA. Rollins picking up where Lesnar left off.

Well, that was a nice change of things with the ambulance angle.

It's crazy to think Kane was only WWE Champion for a day, given how long he's been in the company. He's had plenty of accomplishments, though.

Nice promo from Bray.

Cheap heat from Bo, but that's what he does.

- Orton vs. Dallas:
Bo just doesn't learn, does he??

- Owens vs. Rusev:
This could be a damn war.

Or not...

How about a four-way for the IC Title?

Strong promo about Big Show. Heyman can sell anything.

I'm actually pretty excited for Brock vs. Show. Should be great from a spectacle standpoint.

Strong stuff from Show, too. Good to play off their history from 2002.

Profanity is cheap.

- Wyatt vs. Reigns:
I'm liking this so far. They don't need a bunch of top rope moves and suicide dives to tell an effective story.

This one's really heating up!

DAMN! This feud's got some real heat to it now.

More wrestling coming up.
