What happened after NOC, Nitro Week for WWE, more NOC guests, Snuka update, ROH expands TV presence internationally, Sting update, WWE security to be strengthened, WWE performer branching out, ROH to another cable channel?, more LU set, Bram update, and Questions on the Vaudevillains, calling people up, the Cosmic Wasteland, Bayley, and Cena putting others over,

Here's a live report from Night of Champions. Sheamus tried to cash in, but was stopped by Kane. So he decided to bide his time instead. That DID make sense. What is with some people? Anyway, I hope WWE fixes the problem of people jumping the rail.

WWE Network is doing Nitro Week to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that show launching. Quite the milestone.

Update: WWE has added 100 new hours of Nitro episodes to the Network as the massive digitization project of their libraries continues.

Hip hop name Wale and former nWo member Scott Norton were also backstage at Night of Champions. There were quite a few guests that night.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The preliminary hearing on Jimmy Snuka's manslaughter case has been postponed. I definitely don't see him showing back up in WWE until/unless this is resolved in his favor.

ROH has signed a six-month deal to be shown in France, and will be expanding domestically to more important markets (namely Detroit, Charlotte, and Philadelphia). That's pretty impressive! I'm interested to see how they grow from here.

Sting was at one point scheduled for Raw, but his legitimate injury at Night of Champions meant those plans were halted. Some speculate we won't see Sting in a WWE ring again if he's injured too badly. I hope this isn't the end for him.

WWE will be pursuing criminal offenses against fans who jump the rail going forward, in addition to banning them from future WWE events and from the venues where they jumped. Hopefully that deters anyone from attempting to interfere in the show and put performers in danger.

One well-respected member of WWE's security personnel left the company this weekend. Whether this is related to the incidents of late is unknown.

R-Truth is now being officially represented for endeavors outside of WWE (acting, music, etc.). What that means for his wrestling career remains to be seen. I wouldn't read anything into it yet, although Truth's been taking bumps for a good while now, so I wouldn't blame him for pursuing other opportunities.

Sinclair Broadcasting is in talks to buy The Tennis Channel, leading to speculation it will become a more broad sports network including ROH. That would definitely be big for the promotion, especially if DA doesn't renew their deal.

Chris Jericho is not scheduled for any further TV appearances, so it looks like his return was a one-time thing. I'm fine with him being used as a special draw for the Network, etc.. I've just personally seen enough if he's not going to reinvent himself again.

LU Season 2 has been confirmed for El Rey Network. That should make their fan base happy. The show is really making waves among the true believers who watch it.

Bram's suspension from TNA remains intact following a hearing about his criminal charges. He has plead not guilty.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I really enjoy them. Once they're ready to contribute at that level, show off what makes them unique from the other teams. I think they'd be fine as a comedy face team, but could also work as a mostly serious team like they are now. At the end of the day, they should be booked as what gets them over.

2. Sometimes it's a case of someone higher-up saying "we need a new (big guy/Diva/tag team)" and seeing who fits the role in NXT. Having endorsements from people higher-up helps, too, like the Bellas wanting to work with some of the NXT names, etc..

3. I saw it as them throwing together some people who weren't doing anything, like they did when they paired Sandow/Axel, Slater/Titus, and so on. If WWE's impressed with how the new stable gels and gets over, we could see a push. But it's also likely it was just a case of there not being anything else for those talents to do.

4. I agree she's still got some improvement to do as far as promos go, but I certainly think she's earned her keep as a wrestler enough to be champion. Physical attractiveness is indeed subjective and shouldn't be much of a factor given how well she's gotten over down there and how well she wrestles. I don't see how she wouldn't be main roster ready in 2016.

5. It's ridiculous to think having competitive matches with a top guy doesn't elevate a talent. Owens going the distance with Cena on three PPVs brought him up substantially from just being an NXT guy. I think the better question is who HASN'T gotten a bigger spotlight from working with Cena? Edge, Orton, Miz, Batista, Punk, Rollins, Cesaro, Zayn, and so on... Cena has given a lot. It's just that once you've worked with the top guy, there's pretty much nowhere else to go but down.

More wrestling tomorrow.
