Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.
- Aries promo:
This is SSSSOOOOOOOO awkward for Impact.
I do think that will be a heck of a main event.
- Drake/LAX/Steiner:
Eli has two briefcases. Aries has two Impact titles. They only have so many people who can be pushed, clearly.
HEH?
One of the main reasons to hope Impact sticks around is the fact they keep booking Scott Steiner. Just make him GM already!
I wouldn't blame Steiner for turning on Drake.
This could be fun.
- Moose vs. Callihan:
Oh, I like this already. Moose is going after his ass.
Sami messed with the wrong guy.
Apron powerbombs are insane.
Sami's in trouble here.
Moose looks good here.
That went well!
- Post-match:
Oh boyyyyy what a big brawl.
Who else thought the lights went out because they didn't pay the light guy?
I can only get so excited for Dreamer in 2018, but he'll definitely give it his all. There's something to be said about Impact using this many free agents on a prominent show, and the fact two of them were world champions 18 years ago. And who knows, maybe we'll get Steiner vs. Dreamer at Slammiversary?
- Mathews promo:
Another sign of how thin the Impact roster is these days.
- Mathews vs. Petey:
Josh is in fact a trained wrestler, but I don't blame him for not wanting to go hold-for-hold with Petey.
Unsurprisingly, this is more of a handicap match.
Basically an angle rather than a match.
- Post-match:
Fine to continue the feud.
- J. Impact/Kong/Jacobs:This will be an interesting one. Do they push the young monster at the expense of one of their few remaining "name" stars?
- KM/Lee/Konley vs. Justice/Bahh/Tyrus:
I like Bahh for the most part.
This is very much a case of getting these guys on TV.
Justice can be pretty funny.
Mostly fun!
- Demon's Dance:
I already like this.
I like a big hardcore brawl here and there.
These two are going pretty hard!
This is pretty badass.
GOOD GOD WHAT A PILEDRIVER!
Pretty solid work overall.
