Redemption preview

Read on for my thoughts on tonight's Impact Wrestling PPV.

This one has to be booked a little differently from a WWE PPV, since it's just the first of five nights in the same venue. They need to start things off with a bang, but also save some action for the days ahead so the live crowd keeps coming back.

- Drago vs. Aerostar:
Since this match features two talents on loan from LU, LU should get to book it. Whatever they have planned for these two as relates to their brand is fine with me.

- J. Impact/Kongo:
Impact seems to be saving more of this feud for the TV tapings, BUT these two should definitely be on the show. I say Johnny tells the crowd that he hasn't been cleared to get back in the ring after being attacked on the latest Impact, but no one said anything about him not being cleared to fight. Johnny brawls with Kongo until Jimmy Jacobs sprays him in the eyes with hairspray so Kongo can get the upper hand again. Feud continues.

- Taya vs. Kiera:
This is pretty much for Taya to get her momentum back. Let her show what she can do in a win.

- Allie vs. Su:
Braxton comes to the ring with a bouquet of flowers for Su. Just when Allie starts to get on a run, Braxton hands Su that bouquet, and Yung clobbers Allie with it. Turns out there was a lead pipe hidden in there. DQ. This is not just about the title, but revenge.

- Cage vs. DJZ vs. Fantasma vs. Dezmond vs. Taiji vs. Trevor:
Basically Cage kills DJZ and Dezmond to build himself for a future X-Division title shot without throwing Taiji and Dezmond under a bus.

- oVe vs. Dreamer/Moose/Edwards:
Looks like this one's going to continue, too. Feed Dreamer to Callihan and his crew so we can set up a two-on-three match with the remaining competitors later on.

- LAX vs. Steiner/Drake:
Scott's already in Orlando and there's not much else to do with the tag team division so let's have some fun with the Steiner/Eli pairing. Drake and his new bodyguard get the win and we get a month or so of segments with them trying to coexist as champions.

- Sydal vs. Petey:
It's way too soon to end Sydal's reign. He gets the win here.

- Aries vs. Pentagon vs. Fenix:
Aries retains, since the other two guys are on loan.

More wrestling coming up.
