Road Dogg has resigned as the co-head writer of Smackdown Live due to frustration with Vince McMahon's changes to his scripts, on top of difficult hours in the position. It's unknown what this means for the future of the brand's creative direction or for Road Dogg's WWE status. We'll see what visible changes actually result from this. With WrestleMania behind us and the Shakeup coming soon, there's definitely room for a fresh start.

- R.D. Evans is also gone from Creative after he produced Bret Hart's Hall of Fame speech, which mentioned Vince McMahon in defiance of the long-standing rule. Evans took the blame and resigned when threatened with termination. I wouldn't be surprised to see Evans pop up somewhere else, on-screen or otherwise.

Sean Waltman discussed the WWE Hall of Fame on his most recent podcast. I wouldn't be shocked if WWE did get sued over how the Hall of Fame attacker was treated. Obviously a lot of people side with what Dash Wilder and company did to him, but it could really lead to some bad publicity.

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins released an early match featuring the two of them and Plazma in a triple threat match. That's a pretty cool throwback!

WWE Network's latest Hidden Gem features Ted DiBiase vs. Tom Magee from Wrestling Challenge in 1988. This match has never aired before.

Titus O'Neil's book will release August 6. It's being done in conjunction with WWE.

EVOLVE 126 Saturday night will feature:
- Raul Mendoza challenging Austin Theory for the EVOLVE Championship
- Shane Strickland vs. JD Drake for the WWN Championship
- Angelo Dawkins vs. Eddie Kingston in a Falls Count Anywhere match
- Shane Thorne vs. Curt Stallion
- Lacey Lane vs. Brandi Lauren
- Adrian Jaoude vs. Harlem Bravado
-- So a good number of NXT names will get ring time there. Good to see it.

AEW is speaking to Turner regarding a weekly TV deal for TNT. There are a number of possibilities for how and where that could come to pass, with Internet streaming being a key component to any deal. Should AEW air there, it would be on Wednesday or Thursday due to TNT's NBA deal.

Drew McIntyre left Smackdown Live's main event due to time being cut from the match. As the finish revolved around New Day defeating The Bar, Drew was instructed to return to the locker room during commercial break. Odd situation to say the least!

- Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre was the original planned main event for the show.

AEW Fyter Fest on June 29 will be headlined by Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks vs. PAC and the Lucha Bros. That's impressive!

WWE's financial situation was covered by Motley Fool. They're optimistic about the future of the stock.

Rhea Ripley has ligament damage, which could keep her out of action up to two months. I think she's got a tremendous upside going forward.

A Florida teenager was arrested for battery after attempting an RKO on his high school principal. That's a shame. I hope his poor choices don't reflect on WWE.

Big E suffered a torn meniscus on Smackdown Live. Ouch. I hope he's able to continue to support Kofi on WWE TV via Skype or something.

"Dark Side of the Ring" drew 154,000 viewers for its first episode.

Bret Hart's attacker was bonded out of jail Wednesday ahead of Friday's court appearance.

Becky Lynch's defeat of Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania was not intended to be a controversial finish, although a rematch is still possible.

- The referee who called the pinfall was legitimately fined, since Ronda's shoulders came off the mat at one point and that added unintended uncertainty to the ending.

Ronda Rousey was originally scheduled to be part of Raw. Her broken hand could have been what led to that changing. She was not scheduled for any dates past then.

Daniel Bryan is being medically evaluated, as it's believed he could have been hurt at WrestleMania, too. That could really be a hit to the roster.

Rey Mysterio vs. Samoa Joe reportedly went short due to how long the show had been at that point rather than Rey's injury, although certainly that could have played a role, too.

Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins opening WrestleMania was something pushed for by Lesnar and Heyman.

Pat McAfee almost quit WWE at WrestleMania due to Michael Cole taking issue with his tuxedo shorts, with Cole seeing them as unprofessional. McAfee went to Vince McMahon and got Cole to apologize. So, McAfee will be sticking around for now. We'll see how much longer he stays if he has further friction backstage.

G1 Supercard was the first wrestling show in Madison Square Garden not to be promoted by the McMahon family since 1960, due to the long-term business relationship between the venue and the McMahons.

- The event also featured the first non-WWE title changes in the venue since 1936(!)

The former Enzo Amore and Big Cass will be wrestling as "nZo" and "CazXL," the "Free Agentz" in ROH. Wow those names are terrible, but that's how they work around WWE's copyrights. The pair have not signed ROH contracts, and there isn't a confirmed schedule for them, but they are expected to continue the angle. We'll see how it goes, but it's off to a shaky start with those details.

G1 Supercard drew 16,500 fans, the largest non-WWE crowd in the U.S. since 1999. It was also the biggest non-WWE gate in U.S. history. That's incredibly impressive, but I don't know if ROH and NJPW will be able to replicate that without The Elite.

Takeover:New York was a legitimate sellout of 13,600 fans.

The WWE Hall of Fame drew 10,000 fans against G1 Supercard.

AAA's upcoming U.S. dates appear to be a move from Oak View Group and Schramm Marketing to hold events across the country, rather than something AAA is in charge of.

AAA's Madison Square Garden event is expected to just feature that company, rather than being a joint show with AEW, as the event is intended to draw a Latin crowd for a traditional lucha show.

Smackdown Live drew 2.20 million viewers Tuesday, showing almost no bump for following WrestleMania.

Monday's Raw was a legitimate sellout of 13,600 fans. Smackdown Live drew 9,500 fans the next night in the same venue.

CMLL will debut on Univision Deportes next week, airing Fridays at 12:00 a.m. and Saturdays at 5:00 a.m. Obviously not an amazing timeslot, but maybe it helps them grow an audience.

NJPW is offering discounted tickets to G1 Climax in Texas. Sales are lower than they had anticipated. Clearly a lot of people want them to work with AEW instead of ROH, but there are no signs that's being planned right now.

Hiromu Takahashi's NJPW return is set for late summer. I'm glad his career will continue.

Amazing Red has officially retired at 36. That's a surprise! He will continue to run House of Glory.

Priscilla Kelly is no longer in WWN. We'll see where she goes next.

Jungle Boy returned to action during WrestleMania weekend.

OVW is opening a combine in a similar vein to NFL's training facility, featuring talents undergoing drills on-site.

Chris Jericho's AEW contract is for a fixed number of dates, so he may not work Fyter Fest.

UFC is considering Brock Lesnar for an August 17 fight against Daniel Cormier. We'll see if that ends up happening.

Sasha Banks is taking time off from WWE. There's speculation she's considering leaving. She's been a key part of the women's revolution, so her loss would definitely be felt. AEW signing her would be pretty major.

Extreme Rules is currently advertising Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin. Of course, the Superstar Shakeup could throw that right out of the window.

ROH's April 14 HonorClub event has added The Briscoes, Shane Taylor, and Silas Young vs. The Bouncers and Coast 2 Coast.

More wrestling tomorrow.
