Top Impact name hospitalized, Interview with Corey, HoFer at NXT live event, ROH owners to acquire sports networks, Backlash's replacement announced, Crockett Cup attendance, NXT loop set, Lilian gets a new gig, more LU talents look to get out, Hardy update tonight, SDL live event notes, and Questions on Vince balancing WWE and XFL, Becky toning down Twitter, Bray's gimmick being shelved, talents getting tattoos, and why Corbin's being pushed

Brian Cage was hospitalized after Rebellion, going directly to the emergency room. He injured his back early in his match with Johnny Impact. Cage did not compete at last night's TV taping.

- Cage later confirmed a bone bruise and severe inflammation. He still expects to compete at this weekend's TV tapings. Obviously as world champion Impact is going to want him to be a key part of things.

Corey Graves is on Lilian Garcia's latest podcast.

Paul Ellering attended an NXT live event this weekend near his hometown. His daughter competed on the card.

ROH owners Sinclair Broadcasting are close to acquiring regional FOX Sports networks, opening the door for ROH to provide programming for FOX Sports. I wouldn't assume any kind of timetable for that - it will all depend on Sinclair's level of interest in doing more with ROH.

WWE Backlash has been replaced by WWE Stomping Grounds on June 23 in Washington. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton is the advertised main event. We'll see if Takeover will end up nearby. Stomping Grounds is definitely an uninteresting name. It's not Great Balls of Fire bad, but it's pretty lame. I'm not sure why WWE felt the need to change the show name, but WWE works in mysterious ways sometimes.

Crockett Cup drew about 1,400 fans. That's a pretty solid house.

NXT has announced events for Texas on June 20, June 21, and June 22, and an Oklahoma show on June 23.

Lilian Garcia is now an announcer for the Professional Fighters League. She will still be able to work for WWE when not appearing for PFL.

LU's Matanza (Jeff Cobb), Famous B, and XO Lishus (Sonny Kiss) have all sought legal representation to get out of their contracts there. It's expected Willie Mack will do the same. LU is seeking to prevent Cobb and Mack from working ROH and Mack from working with the NWA. Honestly with no fifth season in sight it's time for LU to let everyone go so they can move on with their careers.

The Hardys will address Jeff Hardy's current state tonight on Smackdown Live. It's entirely possible the tag team championship will be vacated tonight.

At Smackdown Live's April 29 live event in West Virginia:
- Buddy Murphy made his SDL live event debut, losing to Ali in a battle of former 205 Live stars.
- Asuka and Kairi Sane teamed for the first time on a live event, defeating Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
- Heavy Machinery worked their first live event since March 3, defeating The B-Team. This was Bo and Curtis' first live event appearance since January 13.
- Apollo Crews worked his first live event since March 24, teaming with Matt Hardy to defeat Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura. Jeff Hardy was not at the event.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. As best as I can tell, Vince is still heavily involved in the creative direction for Raw and Smackdown Live. I expect he will continue to oversee that process as much as possible.

2. With her favorite punching bag gone and the main event of WM35 passed, she doesn't have as much to Tweet about. Her current feuds aren't as big or heated as the long road to facing and beating Ronda.

3. Bray's gimmick is continuing. I haven't seen anything credible about it catching heat with sponsors.

4. WWE absolutely wants to be aware of any changes to a star's look ahead of time for the purpose of action figures, video game appearances, and other related uses of their likeness. Talents can and do face repercussions if they make changes without informing Management.

5. I definitely think WWE is playing up the legitimate dislike people have for Corbin to push him as a heel who "doesn't deserve his spot."

More wrestling tomorrow.
