WotW Toronto lineup, Starrcast II additions include rare international appearance, assorted WWE press, why the Hardys disappeared, Sabin surgery, WWEPC releases, SDL audience, Interview with AEW president, new Hidden Gem, Browne on HoF attack, SDL star gets first shirt, R.D. on leaving WWE, and Questions on Vince's philosophy on calling up talent, deathmatch safety, and ECW playing off WWF in CT

War of the Worlds Toronto has announced:
- Jay Lethal vs. Satoshi Kojima
- Brody King vs. Shane Taylor vs. Jeff Cobb vs. Hirooki Goto
- Silas Young vs. Yuji Nagata
- The Briscoes vs. Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams
- RUSH vs. PJ Black
- TK O'Ryan and Vinny Marseglia vs. EVIL and SANADA
- Guerrillas of Destiny and Hikuleo vs. Alex Coughlin, Karl Fredericks, and Clark Connors

Starrcast II has added Kenta Kobashi, who has not appeared in the U.S. since a 2005 match with Samoa Joe. That should tell you what kind of money and influence Starrcast is playing with.

Seth Rollins promoted Monday's Raw.

Becky Lynch will host Nickelodeon's Crashletes on Friday.

Jeff Hardy was medically evaluated following an injury suffered this weekend on a live event. The diagnosis is unknown at this time. The Hardys reunion with the tag team championship but be a short one.

Chris Sabin had surgery for his torn ACL suffered in January. He could easily miss the rest of 2019 as a wrestler. We'll see if he becomes a regular producer for Impact as he heals.

NXT has released Shadia Bseiso and Nasser Alruwayeh. I don't believe either of them had had a match since being signed as part of WWE's Arab tryout.

Smackdown Live drew 2.07 million viewers this week. Not a particularly strong number.

AEW President Tony Khan spoke about the company's plans and more:
- Of course every wrestling company that reaches a certain level of prominence is going to be compared to prominent promotions from time past. I don't think AEW should try to recreate those companies, though. If fans want to see WCW or ECW content, it's readily available.

- There's a lot of intrigue for what this product will look like.

- I'm very curious how AEW's philosophy will potentially affect how WWE presents their product.

- We'll see how long it is before someone comes up with a "shoot" angle that involves Khan.

- AEW's schedule could be its most transformative change to wrestling. WWE's is clearly outdated given the declining interest in live events.

- I'm sure AEW would like to have Punk back.

Mid-South Wrestlefest 1985 is WWE Network's latest Hidden Gem.

Johnny Gargano threw out the first pitch at a Cleveland MLB game.

Travis Browne discussed his Hall of Fame altercation to protect Bret Hart. I agree regarding the attacker getting publicity. His name, face, background, and social media posts were front and center in the days after the battery.

Ali has his first WWE T-shirt. That's one benefit of leaving the 205 Deadzone.

R.D. Evans made a video about leaving WWE. Pretty funny.

Starrcast II has added Mark Henry, Allie, and Rosemary. WWE's probably not as concerned about Henry appearing since he's not an on-air talent.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince makes the final say, but there are definitely recommendations and a "short list" of which names should be next. Of course, Vince can disregard all that if he wants something different, and anything is subject to change inside WWE at his whims.

2. Vince doesn't follow NXT, 205 Live, or NXT UK since they're obviously different from what he presents. I'd think if he did, he'd want to be hands-on and make changes, which obviously that fan base doesn't want for those shows. So, he takes a talent and makes decisions based on what he sees them as instead of how they've been presented previously. I don't think it's too hyperbolic to say it feels like WWE is two companies with two different priorities and philosophies as far as Raw and Smackdown Live vs. the WWE Network projects. Talents are recruited and developed in one system and then dropped into a very different system. It's unreal a company is run like that.

3. Vince likes to put new names in every so often to change things up. It's not that different from sports teams in some sense as far as refreshing the roster.

4. I mean, really, if you're involved with death match wrestling, you know what you're signing up for. Part of the appeal of that style is it not being kid-friendly, "safe" WWE.

5. That sounds HILARIOUS. Live events used to be a lot more fun with stuff like that.

More wrestling tomorrow.
