Bash at the Beach Reax - 1/15/20

Read on for my thoughts on last night's special edition of Dynamite.
- Bucks vs. Omega/Page vs. PnP vs. Friends:
This is what AEW fans wanted: fast paced tag action.

Oh boy we've got some Elite dissension here.

Lots of flash here.

At least PnP are doing good heel stuff.

Good fire from everyone.

I'm enjoying the Omega/Page pairing.

Everyone's getting to shine here.

I do like that anyone looks like they can take the win.

That was an enjoyable ending.

- Cody promo:
It does feel like they're stretching this feud out. Honestly that's probably for the best to cover up MJF mostly being a promo guy.

Wardlow finally getting to wrestle is good.

- Janela promo:
Simple, effective way to move things forward.

- Brandi/Mel vs. Statlander/Hikaru:
Hahaha Shida's not playing around.

I enjoy Hikaru's chair offense.

This is solid enough.

Ha. I've been pleasantly surprised at how little Brandi is wrestling.

Shida and Statlander are making this one.

Not bad at all!

- Dark Order stuff:
This has been consistently featured and built. AEW listened to fans and dialed it back, but it's still brewing.

- Moxley vs. Guevara:
Oh this is nice.

Guevara is fun. Whereas MJF comes across as a guy playing heel wrestler, Sammy's a natural.

This is good! Sammy looks credible.

NICE ending sequence.

- Post-match:
Good beatdown.

WHOAAAAAAA that was a hell of an attack.

Pretty good interview. Glad Jericho wasn't all over the show this week.

- DDP/Rhodes/QT vs. MJF/Butcher/Blade:
MJF is such a paint-by-numbers heel, but since AEW fans only care about spots, that rates as an A++ in that department.

Solid enough story.

I'm liking Dustin and DDP.

OK that was a pretty cool spectacle.

Well at least MJF didn't beat DDP, although I'm sure that's coming.

- SCU/Page/Omega:
I liked that. The Page/Omega dynamic is well done.

- Pac vs. Darby:
I like the dynamic between these two.

Pretty cool work here.

Pac feels badass and Darby feels like a never-say-die spark of fire. It's good.

Both men look credible here.

Impressive offense from Allin.

I really enjoy Pac's mean streak.

I LOVED the Coffin Drop counter into a German.

Very nice!

- Post-match:
I'd be down for Pac vs. Jericho, honestly.

- Moxley backstage:
He came across like a warrior here. Good stuff.

More wrestling coming up.
