Moxley set for NJPW shows, NXT signs top female star, assorted wrestling press, Brock honored, Corey wants more feedback, Punk responds to Miz, Interviews with HHH/Priest/Cody, Backstage audience, Impact match adds stipulation, Bullet Club set for WM weekend event, Variety covers AEW vs. NXT, territory star passes, NXT dark matches, Dynamite matches, more on NXT angle, and Questions on NJPW succeeding in the U.S., LU's lasting impression, and Cena returning to face Brock

Jon Moxley is booked for NJPW's February 1, February 2, and February 9 events:
- On February 1, he will team with Kazuchika Okada against Minoru Suzuki and Taichi
- On February 2, he will team with Ryusuke Taguchi, SHO, and YOH against Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Douki
- On February 9, he will defend the United States Championship against Minoru Suzuki
-- Moxley is advertised for the February 5 Dynamite in Alabama.

NXT has signed Mercedes Martinez. I wonder if she'll be in the battle royal next week?

Titus O'Neil will be the Grand Marshall of the Tampa Knights Parade on February 8. Cool to see him being honored.

WWE will have signings at the Fiterman Sports Autograph Show on January 24 and January 25. Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatts, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks are all set. There will also be a WWE pop-up shop that weekend.

Ember Moon updated her health status on Booker T.'s podcast.

Brock Lesnar will be an honorary coach for the Minnesota Gophers college wrestling team this week following the 20th anniversary of his NCAA Championship win. Cool to see.

Corey Graves is asking for fan input on future "After The Bell" guests, including potentially breaking outside of wrestling. That's an intriguing idea.

C.M. Punk responded to The Miz referring to "changing the culture" on WWE Backstage, which was a line Punk used when returning to the show. Punk used a since-deleted profane tweet referencing Miz wrestling in Saudi Arabia. Yeah now that Punk's back I kind of wish he would have stayed gone.

Triple H was named Loudwire's Metal Ambassador of the Decade. He discussed bringing metal to NXT.

Memphis' Dave Brown did AEW Dark commentary this week. Fitting!

WWE Backstage drew 124,000 viewers this week, rebounding from New Year's Eve.

Damian Priest spoke to Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News before NXT.

Triple H teased NXT UK expanding to Europe. Honestly they might as well.

The Young Bucks appeared at an NBA game before Dynamite. Good to see them out there getting AEW promotion.

Cody spoke to the New York Post to promote their New Jersey event:
- AEW has its work cut out for it getting into venues given a lot of buildings' relationship with WWE.

- We're a long way from any AEW-NJPW joint shows. Both sides are focusing on their own business.

- If the NWA was doing something like Bash at the Beach it would make sense. It doesn't really line up with AEW's style.

- I'm all for Arn taking a backstage role in AEW given some of the silliness that makes it on air.

Hard to Kill's Eddie Edwards vs. Michael Elgin match will be for Eddie's Call Your Shot trophy. That makes sense, and makes the match even more meaningful. Elgin vs. Tessa could be a really interesting story.

Bullet Club is doing a WrestleMania weekend party. That lines up with them being part of Supercard.

Variety covered the Wednesday Night War, noting that AEW and NXT both benefit extensively from DVR viewing. The key will be how much that matters to TNT, USA, and sponsors.

Territory wrestler Charlie Cook recently passed away. PWInsider covered his career.

Before NXT:
- Santana Garrett defeated Indi Hartwell
- Mansoor defeated Brendan Vink

Dynamite has announced:
- Diamond Dallas Page, Dustin Rhodes, and QT Marshall vs. MJF, The Butcher, and The Blade
- Awesome Kong and Melanie Cruz vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander
- Pac vs. Darby Allin

The December 22 Dynamite will feature Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz vs. The Jurassic Express.

NXT's Chelsea Green was originally planned to work with Malcolm Bivens, to the point the pair had made promos together. It's unknown what her pairing with Robert Stone means for Bivens, Chelsea's oftentimes tag team partner Deonna Purrazzo, or Stone's oftentimes clients The Outliers.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think they can draw a decent-sized audience if they present the product in a way that captures what makes it uniquely Japanese while still appealing to an English-speaking audience.

2. LU definitely gave a lot of talents opportunities to get noticed. I think it should be most remembered for its distinct look and format, though. I'm curious if anyone will attempt anything similar; it was a unique idea that is worth looking at.

3. It wouldn't shock me! If not Cena, I could see another "special attraction" in the same role. Tyson Fury would make sense.

4. I have no idea what this is about. I'm curious if we see Bucci on the site again, though.

5. That's hilarious. I wonder if they have to explain their references to anyone before they air.

More wrestling coming up.
