NXT name on Main Event, Raw cameos, more on new Network show, Interview with Lashley, next ATB guests, NXT+NXT UK set for UK TV, more HonorClub matches, Raw audience, SI ranks female wrestlers, Punk's next Backstage appearance, Von Erichs profiled, WWE NYE results including 24/7 title changes, and Questions on WWE verbiage, Survivor Series without NXT, DUIs, WrestleKingdom staying as two nights, and NOAH's future

NXT's Chelsea Green competed on Main Event before Raw, wrestling Sarah Logan. I really like the idea of cycling in Performance Center names to get some seasoning and fill some spots.

Erick Rowan's Raw opponent was Francis Kipland Stevens.

At Raw's wedding:
- Lana's ex-husband was EJ Risk
- Lashley's ex-wife was Karissa Rivera, who has worked NXT before.
- A number of Create A Pro wrestlers were wedding guests, and the minister was a local actor named Rick Malone.

WWE Break It Down with Drew McIntyre will debut January 5 at 8:00 p.m. EST. The series is in the mold of entertainment shows breaking down famous movie/TV scenes. Makes sense, and it does differ from WWE Untold.

Bobby Lashley promoted Raw with Sports Illustrated. His wedding was definitely very memorable!

After The Bell's next episode will feature Michael Cole and Renee Young.

NXT and NXT UK will air on BT Sport in the UK. NXT will air live with a later repeat, much as Raw and Smackdown do. NXT UK plans are still being worked out.

ROH's January 12 HonorClub event has added:
- Rey Horus vs. Andrew Everett
- The Briscoes vs. Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry

Raw drew 2.44 million viewers Monday night. The wedding and Randy Orton angle deserve credit there, but the show also wasn't going against Monday Night Football for the first time in months.

Sports Illustrated ranked their top ten female wrestlers of 2019.

C.M. Punk will next appear on Backstage on January 21. Disappointing for people hoping it would become the C.M. Punk show.

Ross and Marshall Von Erich were profiled in Texas. Pretty cool.

Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler on FOX's New Year's Eve special. I don't think that surprised everyone.

The 24/7 Championship changed hands twice in Times Square on New Year's Eve:
- Mojo Rawley interrupted R-Truth during an interview, getting a surprise pinfall with Maria Menounos counting the fall.
- Rawley ran into Elias on his way out. Mojo insulted Elias' musical performance, leading to Elias hitting the champion with his guitar. R-Truth capitalized to score a pinfall and get the title back. Maria Menounos counted this pinfall as well.
-- Hurricane Helms was the producer for these title matches.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince is very, very specific with how he wants things done. The only guess I can make is "local medical facility" sounds more formal and serious, befitting the situation of someone being attacked that badly.

2. It seems to have! I definitely don't think NXT would have been involved with the show without the Saudi plane issues.

3. In regard to Uso, he didn't actually refuse a test, he just asked for his lawyer to be present for it. So he couldn't be convicted. As for alcohol problems, it's certainly something worth WWE looking into. Of course, there's only so much they can do when talents are off the clock.

4. I don't have nearly enough time or interest to watch NJPW, but there's definitely intrigue with the involvement of Jericho and Moxley, especially with an AEW Championship match on the line. NJPW benefits from January 4 and 5 being Saturday and Sunday. They might be able to pull off two consecutive Tokyo Dome nights in 2021, but the scheduling works against them.

5. I don't follow it nearly enough to have an in-depth opinion. They've obviously got their work cut out for them competing with NJPW. It is notable they didn't sell to WWE.

More wrestling tomorrow.
