WWE Backlash has been announced for June 14.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I am completely sympathetic to him putting his family first at a time like this. I'm more or less unfazed by how most outlets cover things, wrestling or otherwise. I don't have the highest of expectations for them to put accuracy over attention-grabbing headlines.

2. He definitely has had a lot of setbacks that have prevented him from being the franchise player WWE has wanted.

3. The story has been that Vince would rather spread that star power out into two big matches rather than having those two face off. The story has also been that that matchup also feels a lot bigger in hindsight than it did at the time.

4. I'm guessing they didn't want to "retire" Hogan and/or do a tournament, instead having Savage get a run with the title. Makes sense.

5.a. I expect ROH and NWA running in front of zero paying fans would be more of a detriment than a benefit.

5.b. MLW is well prepared with plenty of content for their TV shows.

More wrestling tomorrow.
