Stardom's Hana Kimura passes away at 22

Hana Kimura made a series of Internet posts featuring self-harm and words of farewell late May 22 following receiving many negative social media messages from viewers of "Terrace House," a Japanese reality show she was guest starring on. She was involved in a number of incidents on the show that sparked an intense negative reaction from netizens, with the most prominent being a physical altercation with a castmember who washed her WrestleKingdom ringwear, causing it to shrink. Kimura slapped this castmember. Kimura posted that she couldn't take the daily negative attacks online, of which there were hundreds.

Hana's postings caused STARDOM staff to rush to her, and early May 23 they confirmed the second-generation star had passed.

STARDOM was positioning Hana to be one of their centerpiece stars in the Bushiroad era. She was one of four women featured in the WrestleKingdom dark match and had also appeared for ROH, where she was in a dark match at G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden. Hana had built a cult following for herself online due to her charisma and style.
