DON media scrum, Interviews with Smothers/Taker/HBK/Vampiro, MLW name signs long deal, released WWE names set for indie show, Dynamite segments, JTG remembers Shad, Bruno title recovered, and Questions on COVID testing, COVID taping changes, WWE fans vs. Martha, Russo returning, and The Bar reuniting

AEW had a media scrum after Double or Nothing, covered here:
-- Cody:
- It is pretty cool for a Rhodes to hold a Turner-based title.

- I'm very behind Lance Archer. He's grown a lot since the WWE and Impact days.

- And there's the mandatory shot at WWE. I am glad there's a shared vision between management and talent, though.

- Fans will absolutely remember the empty arena shows.

- The "old school" stuff is a nice contrast with other content on the show.

- Hahahahaha wow Ted Turner's mansion? That's insane.

- We'll see where things go with that title.

-- Moxley:
- Fun stuff about Cage and Taz.

- They did the best they could with Lee vs. Moxley's build.

- Moxley vs. Lee was a lot of fun.

- There are some interesting possibilities for the title.

- They're killing me with this "push MJF as a star" stuff.

- Having infrequent PPVs has absolutely worked for AEW.

-- Khan:
- Wow they jumped right to Moxley vs. Cage. Makes sense.

- I'm all for some bigger hosses coming in.

- That Stadium Stampede was a unique situation and they really delivered.

- The roster continues to deliver heavy.

- Glad Baker won't miss long.

- I swear. These comparisons to past big matches, other promotions, etc. need to stop. MJF vs. Jungle Boy was nice, but people are getting way carried away with the hype again.

- I also wondered where things were with Cage being injured.

- Cool to see they were ready for working in the UK.

- I'm all for the Taz-Cage pairing.

- Cage vs. Allin could be a lot of fun.

Tracy Smothers was on VOC Nation's "In The Room" podcast to discuss his health, Shad Gaspard, and more. Here are highlights:
- There were stories of Cryme Tyme having heat in WWE leading to them being released.

- Cornette and Heyman were two very different bookers and personalities. Both of them prefer to work alone.

The Undertaker spoke to the Toronto Sun about "The Last Ride.":
- It has definitely been good to see the character grow and change.

- I'm very curious what he does when his in-ring days are over.

Shawn Michaels spoke to ESPN about The Undertaker. That Saudi tag match was very rough!

Alexander Hammerstone has signed a long-term MLW deal. He could really be a big player there.

Primo and Epico are booked for Coastal Championship Wrestling's June 20 event. They can work untelevised shows during the no-compete period.

Mike Tyson will be on Dynamite this week. Surely someone will be knocked out this time?

Vampiro spoke about wrestling in Canada in November.

JTG posted about Shad Gaspard.

Bruno Sammartino's WWWF World Championship has been acquired by the International Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. That's a perfect place for it!

The Inner Circle will have a "pep rally" on Dynamite.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm not sure what the logistics are for getting tested, but AEW and UFC have run venues in close proximity to testing locations. To the best of my knowledge the WWE Performance Center isn't. That's the difference.

2. WWE under Vince is very committed to a certain look and feel, even at a time like this.

3. I think fans understand but don't agree, accusing Martha of trying to erase Owen's wrestling career.

4. Let's see. Under Paul Heyman's regime we've had:
- "shoot" promos with Beth Phoenix, Ronda Rousey, AJ Styles, and The Undertaker.

- a wedding with multiple interruptions from past lovers

- a pregnancy angle briefly with the Kanellises

- Brock Lesnar enter the Royal Rumble while WWE Champion

- a number of factions with regularly shifting membership

- gimmick matches including a Boneyard and Corporate Ladder Match

All of those would seem like "Russo-esque" ideas but their booker doesn't get the criticism Russo would get for executing them. For the record I don't want to see Russo back in WWE. It's time for new writers to make their marks.

5. Both men are focused on other things right now. Their paths haven't crossed, but they might at some point.

More wrestling tomorrow.
