Double or Nothing Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's AEW PPV.
-- Buy In:
- Archer/Roberts:
Lance brings a distinct energy and aggression. I like it a lot.

- Party vs. Friends:
Good start.

Lots of action early.

This is AEW's strong suit, for sure.

This is nice.

Very nice ending stretch.

- Arn interview:
I liked that a lot.

-- Double or Nothing:
- Opening video:
Very classy. So glad to see that.

- Casino Ladder Match:
-- Sky vs. Frankie:
Ha. Natural way to start.

I like the idea a win can happen at any time from a drama perspective, but it also means someone can lose without entering the match in the first place.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip:
I definitely see the criticism of AEW trying to do too many things at once. Havoc's not even in the match!

Well they did kick Havoc's ass for getting involved.

Solid so far.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin:
Allin is really fun.

CHRIST that missed stomp. This man goes hard.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin vs. OC:
Fun times. He does add something unique to the matches.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin vs. OC vs. Colt:
This is pretty good overall.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin vs. OC vs. Colt:
Glad Joey got this opportunity.

I like the hardcore elements here.

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin vs. OC vs. Colt vs. Saurus:
Good to have a big powerhouse involved.

This was enjoyable!

-- Sky vs. Frankie vs. Kip vs. Allin vs. OC vs. Colt vs. Saurus vs. Cage:
BUSINESS HAS JUST PICKED UP!!!! Glad to see him again! Impact took a hit with this one.

Oh this badass.

OK OC climbing on Cage was great.

This is really, really fun.

This is special, for sure.

I'm loving Cage vs. Luchasaurus.

Cage looks like a beast here.

- MJF vs. J. Boy:
Definitely a good comedown from the chaos of the last match.

Interesting handstand spot.

This is growing on me.

Both men getting a chance to show what they're capable of here.

I LOVED MJF punching the arm on the chop exchange.

I'm impressed here!

Pretty solid!

- Post-match:
I think he (rightfully) moves down the ladder once there's a TNT Champion declared.

- Cody vs. Archer:
Lance is awesome here!

This is good already.

Archer's been a really good pickup, and Cody continues to grow.

I like how these two work together.

Hahahahahaha I loved Cody stealing Jake's finisher and Lance stealing Arn's.

Archer looks strong here. I love it.

This is quite good.

Very nice match. I can't help but think Archer's winning the battle royal on Dynamite to get a rematch.

- Ford vs. Kris:
I'd like Kris more if she toned down some of the quirkiness.

Yeah Kris is outshining Penelope.

Pretty solid!

- Spears vs. Dustin:
Ahahaahahah classic heel setup.

Well that was certainly different. Honestly not what I was hoping for, and this was the first real miss of the night.

- Hana graphic:
Very glad to see that. There were fans who wanted to see her come to AEW at some point that sadly won't get that chance.

- Nyla vs. Shida:
I'm already enjoying this.

Good plunder stuff.

This is pretty fun!

Both women doing well here.

Very good work! I'm surprised at the title change.

- Moxley vs. Brodie:
There are going to be some who say the world title should always go last. Or, at least, there would be if this was WWE.

Fun so far.

This is nice and physical.

I'm liking this.

Whoooooaaaaaaaa cool ramp spot.

Holy shit Brodie's surviving a lot.

Pretty enjoyable!

- Stampede match:
Well this is something.

The people who wanted a big spectacle are getting it.

This is wild!

Pretty fun work here.

I can't say I've seen a moonsault from a field goal before.

Honestly this is pure silly fun.

They're incorporating a lot of craziness.

Wild stuff with Matt Hardy and PnP.

Hager vs. Page is wild, too.

I'm enjoying this in all its craziness.

Very fun stuff in the bar.

This is one of the wildest things I've ever seen!

That red flag spot was amazing.

They are going all out and I think that's what we needed this week.

Very wild ending. Great work from everyone.

- Post-match:
Bravo, AEW. Bravo.

More wrestling coming up.
