Impact teases another addition, WWE taping delays, WWE name misses taping, wrestling content updates, WWE COVID concerns, WWE star switches shows(?), Interviews with Orton/Aubrey, Backstage audience, WWE producer rehired, top indie name accused of sexual assault, AEW+NXT matches announced, AEW signings, and Questions on The Bunny, Raw/SD contracts vs. NXT, Shayna burying Becky, Tessa as champion, and pushing more women

Impact's Don Callis teased another ECW name joining the company after Tuesday's show. It's possible this individual is a behind-the-scenes name. For better or worse we've seen more than a few ECW alumni in Impact with Callis in a key role.

WWE's Wednesday taping was delayed as they waited for COVID-19 test results for everyone before they could be allowed to enter the Performance Center.

- Friends and family were again in the audience to add a larger crowd.

- WWE postponed taping the June 26 Smackdown, which will now be taped a few hours before it airs on FOX that night.

- WWE taped next week's Raw as well as matches for Main Event and 205 Live.

- Kevin Owens didn't work the taping, choosing to avoid the site of a recent positive COVID test. I'm sure there are others who have considered doing the same.

R-Truth will host a WWE Network game show starting July 14. "The R-Truth Game Show" will be done through videos rather than in-studio.

Eddie Guerrero has a limited edition collector's T-shirt box. I'm curious if this is a cleaning out storage thing.

AJ Styles will be on "The Last Ride" post-mortem this week.

"The Bump" next week will have Breezango, Xavier Woods, and Cesaro.

WWE performers are concerned about COVID-19 rates among Orlando airport workers given how many talents fly into Florida for tapings. The company is going to need to be very vigilant going forward.

Mustafa Ali will compete on Raw Monday. He is still listed as part of Smackdown, where he last wrestled in February. His last televised match was in December. I hope he's able to build momentum on Mondays.

Randy Orton discussed Tommaso Ciampa and more. He sounds like the practical veteran here. I wish it was less of a contrarian opinion to want NXT to be a temporary destination for these names.

Chris Jericho's latest podcast features referee Aubrey Edwards.

Backstage drew 175,000 viewers this week, its biggest audience since C.M. Punk's November interview. That's quite impressive and makes me think they could have Bret Hart rotate on the panel like Punk does.

The Miz's "Cannonball" debuts July 9.

WWE has rehired Pat Buck as a producer as of this week's TV tapings. Another company was interested in using him in a similar role, but obviously that won't happen now.

David Starr has been accused of sexual assault by a former girlfriend, along with other abusive behavior. Starr has since deleted his Twitter account, but his relevant tweets and hers are available in news articles like this one. More on this tomorrow.

Dark has announced Brian Cage vs. Robert Anthony. AEW has really shown willingness to put top names on that show.

Fyter Fest has announced:
- Hikaru Shida vs. Penelope Ford for the Women's Championship
- Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy

Dynamite has announced:
- Jon Moxley in action with Taz on commentary
- FTR vs. the Natural Nightmares
- Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy, with Sammy being able to choose which version of Matt he faces
- Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus in a lumberjack match
- Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana vs. Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss

AEW has announced the signings of Ricky Starks and Abadon, both of whom competed on Dynamite. Starks was part of NWA, who haven't run a show since January. Glad to see him have this opportunity.

NXT has announced:
- Keith Lee vs. Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano for the North American Championship
- Karrion Kross vs. Bronson Reed
- Damien Priest vs. Cameron Grimes

NXT's July 8 episode will feature Adam Cole vs. the North American Champion in a title vs. title match. If NXT can't pull a big number with a match that significant, they need to make some changes.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Apparently this is something that's been building on Dark. It would benefit AEW to have explained that better rather than assuming fans watched their YouTube show. Naturally AEW attracts a very "connected" audience who follows online reporting, but that shouldn't be taken for granted when it comes to things like this.

2. Raw and Smackdown contracts have higher downside guarantees than NXT contracts, as well as a higher pay day for each show worked, with live event revenue factored in, too. So, while Finn is still under a Raw/Smackdown style deal, if he works fewer dates in front of smaller crowds, that will affect his pay. Obviously that part of things isn't really a concern right now with no crowds, but usually it would make a notable impact.

3. If Becky doesn't come back it's all the more reason to build other heels and babyfaces! It makes sense for Shayna to knock her rival like that.

4.a. She has a physicality about her that gives her credibility, and Impact gave her ample opportunities to work with men on the way to winning the title. It definitely wasn't a spur of the moment decision, but obviously it was something out of the ordinary that could attract the curious.

4.b. It would have to be the right woman. I would think, size-wise, Nia Jax, Tamina, and Nyla Rose would be credible enough, but I don't think intergender wrestling is something WWE in particular wants to do.

5. Basically the women they have now are better trained and bigger stars than a lot of the names ten years ago were, and WWE is looking to have more women watch the product.

More wrestling tomorrow.
