Impact teases released WWE names, Raw segment set, assorted wrestling press, new WWE initiatives, Interviews with Aries/Jarrett/HHH+HBK/Lashley/Road Dogg/Flip/Sugar, Backstage audience, COVID-19 updates, Fyter Fest details, new Takeover stipulation, new Takeover match, Drake re-signs, AEW matches announced, legend signs AEW deal, and Questions on Impact working with AEW, Austin's wrestling ability, WWE inducting Owen without Martha, Taker vs. Roman, and why Vince bullied JR

Slammiversary has been announced for July 18 on PPV. Impact's teaser video included footage of recently released WWE stars. That's a risky strategy if they're not able to deliver them. It also puts the emphasis on people not currently in Impact, which hardly seems like a great way to promote an Impact PPV.

Raw has added The Peep Show with Edge as Christian's guest. They've done a great job building the Backlash match.

"The Bump" on Sunday will feature Sean Waltman, Mauro Ranallo, Keith Lee, and Mia Yim.

Darren Young was on "The Bump" this week to reunite with Titus O'Neil. Gallus also appeared.

Vince McMahon sent an email to WWE employees stressing the company's commitment to diversity, including:
- 24/7 mental health counseling
- an email address for diversity concerns
- links to various diversity training courses the company offers for free
-- Glad to see significant action being shown there.

Austin Aries spoke to VOC Nation's "In The Room." Here are highlights. I'm a little surprised we haven't seen him in AEW, but it could be that he hasn't consistently been in one promotion for a good while and they'd rather focus on someone committed to being a long-term player.

Noam Dar and Isla Dawn did an interview on NXT UK's Instagram before this week's episode.

Jeff Jarrett discussed wrestling on FOX News. It's really telling they didn't mention TNA becoming Impact Wrestling. The level of research that went into this piece is low.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels spoke to Sports Illustrated about NXT's women's division.

Bobby Lashley discussed the Rusev/Lana angle. I think the wedding was intended as the blowoff to everything.

Road Dogg is on the latest "After The Bell."

WWE Backstage drew 121,000 viewers this week, very close to last week.

Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, and Trent Seven sold their British Strong Style shirts to raise more than $25,000 for Black Lives Matter.

Florida is expanding capacity for entertainment events to 50 percent capacity on Friday, so that could come into play for wrestling.

Edge's movie "Money Plane" will be released July 10 digitally.

NJPW and Stardom are set to begin live events with athletes being tested beforehand following Japan no longer being in a state of emergency. That's positive, for sure.

FTR are auctioning ring gear to support Black Lives Matter and Pride month.

Flip Gordon discussed staying in ROH with Wrestling Inc. Sounds like he got a pretty sweet contract.

ROH is doing a Dungeons & Dragons special.

DDP has officially gifted the Diamond Cutter to QT Marshall. Cool to see.

Sugar Dunkerton/Pineapple Pete is on the latest Talk is Jericho.

Fyter Fest will take place on Dynamite on July 1 and July 8. It's probably a good move to try to boost that show's audience rather than putting the special on B/R Live.

Takeover: In Your House's NXT Championship match will be a Backlot Brawl.

Takeover: In Your House has added Mia Yim/Shotzi Blackheart/Tegan Nox vs. Candice LeRae/Dakota Kai/Raquel Gonzalez.

Drake Maverick has signed a new NXT contract. Happy ending to that story. Cool to see.

Jon Moxley will compete on AEW Dark next week. I'm curious if that means he's having a match TNT wouldn't approve of airing.

Dynamite has announced:
- Cody vs. Marq Quen
- Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz vs. Orange Cassidy and Best Friends
- FTR vs. The Butcher and The Blade
- Colt Cabana vs. Sammy Guevara

Arn Anderson has signed with AEW for multiple years. Good to see there's a place for people with his legacy there.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. We could definitely see something worked out where one or more Impact talents appear on AEW, but Impact wants approval of how the talent's being booked. As for AEW talent appearing in Impact or AEW promoting Impact or anything like that, I don't see that happening.

2. What we got from his style was perfect for the Stone Cold character, but, yes, he would have been able to do more and probably wrestle longer if not for the injury.

3. Honestly I don't see why they wouldn't legally be able to induct him if they were willing to deal with the backlash from Martha and others.

4. It wasn't awful but wasn't Taker in top form. There were others who were pretty critical, too.

5. All that and thinking JR took wrestling way too seriously. It could also have been partially because JR would continue to take what Vince would do to him and continue to dutifully report for work. Howard Finkel certainly took it heavy from Vince at times, too, and I can't help but think Pat Patterson was being put in a similar position, but JR is the most prominent example of Vince's peculiar brand of friendship and appreciation.

More wrestling tomorrow.
