Queries on Jarrett and TNA, former Nexus member on live events, Questions on Cheerleader Melissa, Taylor Wilde, Layla, TNA's Hall, and Matt Hardy, X-Division Title update, and live event notes

A few recent queries sent in to the blog:
1. As far as I know, Jeff Jarrett is still a minority owner in TNA. I haven't heard anything to suggest that he had been bought out.

2. TNA/Impact is more apt to use older names because they already have name value and TNA is trying to make a name for themselves. The theory is that fans are more likely to tune in if guys like Hogan and Sting (who've drawn big buyrates in years gone by) are on the show. If ratings are where they are now with Hogan, Sting, Hardy, RVD, Angle, Team 3D, etc. I can only wonder where they'd be without them.

Bray Wyatt, formerly Husky Harris, is working Raw live events. He's on Season 6 of NXT. I'd like to see how far he's progressed, as I thought he had something when he was on Season 2.

For my take on today's PWInsider.com questions:
1. TNA might have wanted something to copyright, and she might not have wanted to let them have ownership of that character. If she signed it over and was released, she couldn't be Cheerleader Melissa on the indies anymore. TNA, however, would be able to market someone else as Cheerleader Melissa. So, she agreed to be one of their characters. Wrestlers are like actors in that sense. Anyway, I agree that she was talented.

Everything else from today is after the break!
2. She decided that if she wasn't set to make a lot of money wrestling by the time she was 25, she would quit and do something else. So, she did.

3. She feuded with Michelle McCool before her injury, and she came back to beat the heelish Bella Twins. She usually faces heels, so she's a face.

4. I think they'll do it yearly, but there's no word on anything yet.

5. I also think he'll stay out of the spotlight for the time being. His body's really taken a toll and he kind of burned some bridges in both companies.

Austin Aries will keep his X-Division Championship until the day of Destination X, where it will be vacated so he can challenge for the World Title.

Randy Orton is advertised for the 8/9 WWE tour of Japan, so he will return from his 2nd suspension. John Laurinaitis, curiously, is also advertised.

That's all for today's news. More tomorrow.
