Shawn Michaels was set to appear at the most recent NXT taping. Kevin Nash was in attendance.
El Generico has not officially been signed by WWE as of yet. He has to clear medical testing first. But if he does that, he's in.
Natalya and Sean Waltman were also at the most recent NXT taping. No word on if either appeared on-screen. Hopefully if they did, it was in a way that benefited the stars of the future.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Arda Ocal talked to Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.
TNA has dropped to 4 PPVs in 2013: Genesis, Lockdown, Slammiversary, and Bound For Glory. It will be VERY interesting to see how that goes for them. There will be shows taped for international markets that may make it to the States as specials. We'll see.
Update: the other 8 PPVs will be special taped events. There will be an X-Division show, a Joker's Wild Tournament, another ECW reunion, a reunion for older TNA stars, a Knockouts tournament PPV, an international-themed tournament with the winner getting a TNA Title show, the return of the World Cup for both the X-Division and TNA as a whole. That's a lot of extra talent who could break through to TNA full time if they impress. This is certainly a bold move.
Tyson Kidd suffered a fractured knee and a torn ACL and will miss up to a year. That's a damn shame as he's pretty amazing in the ring. Hopefully he still has a bright future ahead and returns ahead of schedule.
More wrestling (hopefully) tomorrow.
