Knockout sick, DX member backstage, Updates on Jericho/Lesnar, Gut Check profiled, Smackdown audience, Interview with Little Guido/Nunzio, and Questions on Rock's Mania opponent, Josh Matthews, finishers, and hating Cena

Miss Tessmacher came down with the flu in the UK and was taken off of some shows.

Sean Waltman was backstage at the Royal Rumble. He would have been a nice surprise.

Chris Jericho has signed a full-time WWE deal through WrestleMania 29. Hopefully he elevates Ziggler, Big E, and maybe Barrett this go-round. WWE could definitely use some rehabilitation for some of its talented up-and-comers.

Brock Lesnar has signed a new 2-year deal with WWE. That will be big. I'm hoping he works with some newer names. Punk? Sheamus? Del Rio? Orton? Bryan? Ziggler?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

An upcoming Gut Check seminar was profiled, with quotes by D'Lo Brown.

The most recent Smackdown got 3.03 million viewers. Rock effect.

Little Guido, known in WWE as Nunzio, talked about a number of topics.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely think Punk has outclassed Cena promo-wise lately, though Cena is capable of doing some good promos when he's motivated (like he will be against Rock). I'd like to see Punk in the mix at Mania. He's earned a spot alongside Cena and Rock.

2. I like the thought process here, but Vince apparently likes/trusts the part-timers and Cena more than anyone else, and he's going to keep pushing them. Vince is stubborn and resistant to change. WWE almost lost Punk. They did lose Batista. Unless someone puts some pressure on him to change things, we'll probably see the same-old, same-old.

3. I like him ok. I'm more of a fan of Striker and Stanford.

4. I also don't really have a problem with it. Exclamation points are meant for the end of the sentence.

There really isn't much to add to 5. Yes, he works his ass off and all that good stuff. He's just been booked to do pretty much the same act and be the top guy for years now. He's not the same guy he was when he was first breaking into the main event scene, when he had to fight to stay there. Now he's the establishment and because he's Vince/Management's boy he can cut terrible promos and still be the top guy. Even when he loses, he usually pretty much just shakes it off, treats it like it was nothing, and gets revenge. Or another title shot/big match. It's really frustrating to those of us who want to see some new acts featured at his level.

More wrestling tomorrow.
