Jarrett talks possible TNA name change and more,Questions on the economy and wrestling, The Rock's NBC show, Traci, and ODB/Jackie, musician visits at WWE house show, Foley talks WWE return, Riley and Kaitlyn at Women's Expo, future Mae Young match?, yet another house show change,a Punk promo, and "dream" interbrand matches

Jeff Jarrett discussed a number of TNA topics when promoting upcoming house shows. I'd personally find it a little odd if the company just went by Impact Wrestling. It doesn't flow off the tongue in the same way as a brief acronym. It could very well go down at some point, though. And it could work. The 6-sided ring thing is something I'm really surprised that people still care about. I certainly stopped caring about it a long time ago. Staying on Thursdays is good for them. All in all an interesting interview.

PWInsider.com has some new questions for Saturday:
1. Indeed they have. Like pretty much every other industry, they're testing which prices to sell things at. I think they'd do better business if they dropped PPVs in price some, but they have their reasons to think otherwise.

2. It's in the very early stages, so there's not much known about it at the moment. I'm somewhat intrigued.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with an update on Traci Brooks.

3. She's going to be the "assistant" to Karen Jarrett, who's in charge of the Knockouts Division in storyline. I don't think we'll see her get back in the ring (at least not full-time) with her Erb's Palsy.

4. Another complicated TNA storyline. They came in without being under contract, then lost and were supposed to leave, but stuck around and tried to get contracts on good behavior. They're now officially members of the roster again, and I'm under the assumption that they've legitimately been under contract for a while now. Either way, for the time being, it looks like they'll be regular parts of the show. I'm not crazy about either of them. ODB's gimmick wore thin with me a while back and Jackie's another one of those performers I've seen for so many years that I'm pretty apathetic about her return. I'd rather be seeing Daffney, Alissa Flash, Serena, Payton Banks, etc..

Nothing to really say on 5, so moving on... Phil Collins was at a Smackdown house show in Switzerland. Pretty cool. I honestly had no idea that he was a wrestling fan.

Mick Foley talked about his reasons for seeking a return to WWE in a recent interview. I'm split about his possible on-screen return. Outside of Old School Raw or a connection with Rock-Cena at Mania, I'm not sold on the idea.

Alex Riley and Kaitlyn will be at the Comcast Connecticut Women's Expo next weekend. Of course, CT is the site of WWE's headquarters.

The October edition of WWE Magazine has an interview with Mae Young discussing a promised match with Stephanie McMahon and her daughter Aurora when Young turns 100. That might have changed; I remember at one point the story was that Stephanie had promised a 1-on-1 match with Aurora then. Either way, this is a long way in the future if it does go down. I'm personally not counting on it.

WWE has moved a house show in Texas from 9/25 to 2/5/12. Changes all over the place with them lately.

WWE is promoting a big C.M. Punk interview in their upcoming magazine. Should be interesting.

WWE also has an article on potential Raw vs. Smackdown "dream" matches. That's all they could come up with? Kofi/Sin Cara should be there for starters.

Anyway, that's all for Saturday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
