WWE.com has undergone a face-lift. I'm honestly not crazy about it.

The site has posted video of Randy Orton talking about Triple H vs. C.M. Punk. Nice.

Update: There's also video of John Laurinaitis trying to find out who cut off C.M. Punk's mic on Raw. Not exactly compelling. On a related note, if they make Kevin Dunn an on-screen character, the angle will officially be WCW 2000 bad.

Ring Of Honor performer Claudio Castagnoli has officially signed a WWE developmental contract. He's already reported to FCW under the name Antonio Cesaro. I've heard a number of good things about him, and he's spoken highly of WWE in interviews, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table. As of yet, there's no word on his tag partner Chris Hero coming aboard, but he's also tried out with the company in the recent past.

Update: Castagnoli has changed his Twitter name to reflect the gimmick change. Awesome.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and PWInsider.com questions, beginning with a possible FCW release.

Mack Hetfield has been removed from the FCW roster page, which could mean that he's been released from the company. I honestly can't find much on him other than his signing and that he'd worked for WWE in "enhancement roles" in the past. I hope this was the right decision for them, as he'd only been there for a number of months.

Paul Heyman said on Twitter that he doesn't want to return to WWE, which should be no surprise. Kind of funny that the people complaining that WWE is supposedly stuck in the '90s want a decidedly '90s promoter back in the fold. He could also have been messing with someone who misspelled the suggestion to "go bcak". Either way I don't expect him to be involved in any wrestling promotion any time in the conceivable future. I did like his suggestion years back that WWE should try to connect more with what's in pop culture. I don't remember the specifics, but the company could definitely still use help in promoting some stars' personalities.

WWE's CFO will be in the 2nd Annual Credit Suisse Investor Conference in New York on 9/27.

As for my take on PWInsider.com's Friday questions:
1. It wouldn't surprise me for her to return at some point. I definitely don't want to see her as a heel, though. Wrestling shows should be primarily about the wrestlers. Their answer is particularly interesting given some recent rumors about the company. I'll comment more on them when/if they're confirmed.

2. There's not really much to add there other than I'm looking forward to her return. I'm curious about how she'll fit in with the current division and what role she'll play.

3 was pretty straightforward and honestly could have just been Googled. For 4, he's been training in FCW and working as an agent for years now if I'm not mistaken.

5. As they said, she's being used quite a bit so it'd be surprising if the two sides split any time soon. It's always possible, though.

Here's a blurb on Hulk Hogan's upcoming Kinect game. Not buying that one.

Shawn Michaels is working with Triple H on an unspecified WWE project. They've already closed the book on DX, so maybe this is for a solo HHH DVD?

The Rock posted this poster for Survivor Series 2011 on Twitter. Take it for what you will. It's exciting wh news if it means what it looks like it means.

Update: WWE has confirmed that they will be part of a team in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match. WWE can build up a LOT of people in that scenario if they're able to get the rub with The Rock. Del Rio, Miz, Punk, etc.. This could be VERY big if they play their cards right.

Shawn Michaels talked hunting games again. That second game's premise sounds pretty cool .

WCW posted footage of Hulk Hogan after Nitro. Or something like that.

Magnus and Douglas Williams are competing for the AAA in Mexico, as per TNA's working relationship with the company.

Impact Wrestling drew a 1.2 for the post-No Surrender show headlined by Ric Flair vs. Sting. Nice increase from recent weeks. They've done worse, but they've also done better so this was a mixed bag.

WWE Studios acquired a film from the Toronto International Film Festival. At some point, this isn't really wrestling news.

WWE has posted pictures from Edge Appreciation Night. Pretty touching.

Finally, Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase for the Intercontinental Championship has been added to Night of Champions. They've done a good job setting up Match 1 between them in what will hopefully be a decent-sized feud.

That's all for Friday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
